Your Pup Will Get all The Loves

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Alisa and thank you for considering me as your dog walker and caretaker. **I also provide dog walks. Just message me through the drop in portal and we can set them up!** :D About Alisa: I got my first dog - a Jack Russell - at age 8. I have always had a passion and love for animals and dogs. I am extremely well practiced in all things dog care. I find it helpful to always be well armed with tasty treats and am not afraid to go all in to take care of dogs. Even if that means picking up number 2, getting in between all the doggie ear folds to get the sand out from a day at the beach, or just giving some good belly rubs. Dog walking is second nature to me and I am confident I can tire out your good puperoo, keep them safe, and make sure they have their potty break. If you select me for stop by visits or an overnight stay I am happy to meet, get acquainted with your dog and place, and make sure you and your furry friend can entrust me to provide the best care and love for your pooch. I think you will be very happy with the devotion your four legged best friend will get with me as their temporary dog mom.

Alisa was hired to provide drop-in visits for my pug, silva, last year. I was away for business and she phoned me to inform me that my pug had been bitten on the ear by another dog, and a small piece of his ear had been "nipped" as she described it. I was alarmed but I gave her the benefit of doubt, and figured these things can happen, although in my 6 years of taking care of silva, I never had an incident with other dogs because I was careful and asked other owners if their dogs were friendly. She assured me that the injury was very minor, if "nothing at all", but insisted that he needed to be kept overnight at the emergency facility. I was perplexed because if the injury was minor, why would this be necessary. As a healthcare professional, I knew that with small bites, this was not needed. Also, I asked if she would be willing to keep silva at her place overnight to monitor him since the costs would add up. she refused and was very insistent on boarding at the emergency facility. I found her attitude and tone with me to be disrepectful and offensive. Also, given the fact that she was the one who was taking care of silva at the time of the accident, I thought she would at least be willing to keep him overnight. She also owned a couple dogs, and although I am not sure, it seemed like her refusal to keep silva overnight might have been because her dog was the one who actually bit a good chunk of my dog's ear off. Why else would she refuse so adamantly? When I came back home from my trip, I was surprised when she asked me to come pick up the key I had given her to my place, underneath her mat in front of her house. She told me she was going to sleep, but it was about 9pm, and given the severity of what had happened, I would think she would at least want to see me in person and explain what happened. When I took silva home and looked at his injury closely, I realized that the injury was not just a "nip" but a good piece of his ear had been bitten off. The injury was not too severe, but just required monitoring and antibiotics. After thinking about the situation and everything that happened, I asked Alisa to contribute half ($125) of the $250 cost for silva's ordeal. She did not answer my text to her and took herself off of Rover so she would not get a bad review. I also remember when I spoke with her when the injury occurred, she kept reminding me of Rover's policy that they do not reimburse for the first $260 if the pet requires medical care. I found her attitude and tone a little strange at the time, but I brushed it off since I was worried about my dog. My overall experience with Alisa was horrible. Her unprofessionalism in this matter really angered me. She should have at least responded to my text and we could have had a discussion to resolve the situation. I just wanted her to contribute something to the cost, because in all honestly, the incident was her fault and happened under her watch. I found her behavior, tone, and disrespectfulness to me throughout the whole ordeal to be very unprofessional. Taking responsibility and doing the right thing (small contribution for the cost) is what honorable people and adults do. Nobody is perfect but I hope she can seriously reflect on what happened and learn from this.

Alisa did a great job taking care of our furry crew (two cats and a senior dog). We received many updates and I could tell they were comfortable with her in the home. I would happily book with Alisa again!

Took great care of my difficult dog, she was willing to meet up last minute to do a meet and greet before i needed her for walking in which she listened well to my walking directions. And of course sent me cute pictures of my girl which I loved seeing while i was away! Thank you!
