Pet care experience
I will love your pet as if he/she were my own. I love walks, runs, cuddles or just hanging out in a quiet place together giving gentle pets or belly rubs. A little bit about me. I have been a pet owner/lover all of my life. I have 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced veterinarian clinic administering care to mainly cats and dogs. I am a wildlife biologist and have worked in the field for over twenty years. As a biologist I have spent the majority of my career handling wildlife and monitoring wildlife diseases. I am very good at caring for sick animals, geriatric animals and recognizing when your furry family member might be a little down. I am able to administer pills, give injections, walk slowly with geriatric dogs or just hang together in a quiet place. I will give your pet the love he/she needs while you are away. Geriatric dogs hold a special place in my heart.

Alisa was a great sitter! Prior to booking with her, we communicated and she offered to do a meet and greet which I really appreciated. She has a clean home and a nice, fenced backyard. While Lexi was at her home, she sent me videos and pictures during my trip away. She took Lexi on walks and played fetch with her quite a bit! Anything I asked for, Alisa was willing to accommodate, as much as reasonably possible (Lexi likes to sleep on the floor next to someone and Alisa put the bed right next to her on her side of the bed :) ) Lexi really enjoyed staying with Alisa and her family. I'll definitely be using Alisa again when I go out of town!
Alisa did a fantastic job taking care of my dog Lucy! She was very responsive, sent lots of pictures, and treated Lucy like family. Thank you Alisa!

I will care for your pet in your home as if you were there. I will do exactly what you ask of me. I am a very private person and respect my privacy. I will always respect your privacy in your home. Anything your pet needs, I would ask that you put on your countertop so I do not need to look through anything unnecessarily. I am in your home to care for your pet. I will snuggle on the couch or in bed with your pet, whatever you prefer. As a pet owner myself, I have never been able to say no to snuggles on the furniture. If you you do not allow this I will meet your pet on the floor and I will give your pet all the love and snuggles there.

Is your dog aggressive toward other dogs or people in any way, i.e., toward little kids or squirrels, etc. This is important for me to know so I can avoid any triggers that might upset your pet. Does your dog have anxiety or are there any noises that upset him or her, e.g., fireworks, little kids screaming at a park, etc. Is your dog approachable by others? For example, if we were on a walk and someone comes up to your pet. Is your pet fearful of strangers? I would like to know if your pet has any medical condition(s) and if there are any meds that need to be administered while they are in my care. Does your pet have allergies? If so, does he/she require medication?
A typical day
If you have a favorite place you walk your dog, I will stick with your routine. I will follow your lead and your dogs for what is right for your pet. I love walking and am able to do so for long distances. I am also a runner and am happy to take your dog for a run. I am always up for playing your pets favorite game with their favorite toy, giving lots of belly rubs or just sitting quietly and reassuring your pet. You tell me and I will do exactly what your pet requires to feel happy and safe.
