Pet care experience
I am a student at the University of Houston - Downtown pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with an expected graduation date of May 2024. I have owned and sat a wide variety of animals such as small animals, reptiles, cats, and dogs of all sizes. My goal is to provide pet care services full-time in order to focus on school and provide adequate care to your pet(s). I currently live in a ~900 sq ft apartment with two dogs and two lizards who are always contained and never come out. I have a small patio the dogs can hang out in and bark at all the passing neighbors. Walks are available every 2-4 hours. During the summer we will limit ourselves to one morning and evening walk to save ourselves from the heat with plenty of quick potty breaks in between. During the winter (does Texas really even have winters?) anytime we go out to potty will be a full walk.

Your pet(s) happiness and safety are my priority! During the day, your pet(s) will have full access to the apartment and have frequent potty breaks. Your pet(s) will NEVER be confined unless you ask me to directly (i.e. when sleeping, leaving the house, visitors). I do have two baby gates readily available. At night, the doors to my bedroom and restroom will remain open so your pet(s) can choose where they sleep for the night. They are always welcome on furniture. With pet(s) coming and going, things can get a little messy. Every day the apartment is vacuumed, carpet cleaned (accidents happen!), and bowls are washed. Once a week, the entire apartment and backyard are deep cleaned. All dog beds and sheets are washed, floors mopped, furniture and carpets are disinfected.

I understand no two dogs are alike. So please, tell me all about them! What toys do they like? How are they on walks? Are they shy, or do they LOVE meeting new friends? Do they have any triggers? I am as flexible and accommodating as possible, so please do not hesitate to ask for specific things for your pet(s)!
A typical day
With current temperatures, our typical days will vary. I will wake up around 6 am to get the dogs out before the concrete is too hot. We will walk laps around the apartment complex. After the walk, we will have breakfast. I have extra bowls but do recommend bringing their own just for some familiarity. Any older, slower eaters will be fed first and placed in the restroom or bedroom with the door closed. I have not had any issues with food aggressiveness; I only do this to ensure they are getting the time and space they need to finish their food! Everyone else will be fed next, and bowls will be placed in different spots in the living room/kitchen. All bowls will be washed, refilled with water, and placed along a wall for easy access. Multiple quick potty breaks will be offered throughout the day as needed. Dinner will be given around 7 pm, similar to breakfast. A final walk, similar to the morning walk, will be given at 8 pm. After the walk, doors will be closed and everyone will begin settling down.

Availability
Currently, Rover is considered my full-time job. I am currently obligated to be on campus Tuesday-Thursday for no more than 3 hours at a time.
