***AVAILABLE for housesit requests from January 2024 until end of March 2024, and after April 2024*** Hi! I'm an avid walker and currently available for dog sitting. Looking forward to giving your canine friend personalised attention while encouraging gentle training, if requested (I have a dog training background). But mostly being there for them as they enjoy company, fresh air, and exercise! :) Housesitting experience: I've had extensive house/pet/farm sitting experience in a variety of environments, short and long term, with many different types of dogs with particular needs. I've also had experience with a variety of other animals and can provide references from housesitting hosts who can vouch for my impeccable house maintenance skills and frequent updates :) Feel free to contact me for small animal rates as well (experienced bird, reptile, rodent and fish carer). I enjoy playing with pooches inside and outside, sitting together on a couch while reading or knitting, going on hikes, encouraging and sustaining training, occasional grooming, and cuddles often! I am able to give oral medication with food. I've also taken care of senior dogs, and animals with a history of trauma - it was magical to watch them open up with unconditional love and care. The best is knowing that although animals miss their special humans while they're away, they are still in their familiar home environment and don't have to suffer the added stress of relocating.

My goodness i hadn't realised i had not completed this review earlier. Alina came to stay at our home while we enjoyed a family holiday in Florida, this was the first time we had been away from our pup Ruby for more than a day or two since she joined our family. Alina was amazing, her communication was first class, she sent lots of lovely photos of what her and Ruby were getting upto, she was very considerate and helpful with a couple of last minute changes, the house was probably in a better state when we returned than when we left and Ruby had clearly enjoyed Alina's company! I would 100% recommend Alina to anyone.
Alina was wonderful when looking after my 13 year old dog in my home. She gave me regular updates, was lead by my dogs energy levels (so went for walkies when doggo was up for it) and was just what I wanted for my senior dog when going away for a week. I would highly recommend Alina.
Alina was absolutely lovely, she clearly has much knowledge in taking care of dogs, especially when she pays attention to all the details of the care of my dogs. One of my dog is 11 turning 12 years old and the other dog is a rescue and thus a bit anxious but they were well taken care of. Thank you!
It is not easy to find a suitable sitter for a senior dog. They are fragile both physically and mentally. It requires empathy, maturity, calmness and good sense. Alina has all these qualities. She was an *instant* fit with my senior dog. She kept her exact same routine and took great care of the place. I left fully trusting my dog and my home were in good hands. When I returned a week later, I found my dog very calm, my place clean; it was like I never left. It was particularly touching to see my old girl jumping down the sofa and slowly walking up to Alina as she was getting ready to leave, to get one last long caress before turning away to go back to sleep. Totally recommend.

For housesitting, we will have a meet & greet together with you and your canine friend to see if we are a good fit. If we decide to go ahead, I would then have a brief visit in your home before the housesit date, to make sure I understand the ins and outs, electrical/gas, where the dog food and accessories are, cleaning supplies, and anything else needed to be able to provide exceptional care for them. I like to have emergency contacts on hand during a dogsit, and I send out regular photo updates so you can be in the loop about how your furry friend is doing while you're away.
Information Alina D. would like to know about your pet
It is helpful to know any emergency contacts, medications, whether they are approachable by other dogs during walks, any triggers (squirrels, cats, lorries...) or any other concerns about your dog. I also like to keep dogs on their same schedule as closely as possible, if you let me know when they are used to having meals and walks.
A typical day
I love going on walks outside the city on weekends and have dogs enjoy some nature time on trails, if their health and age permits.

Availability
I work remotely part-time and my schedule is very flexible, with lots of breaks throughout the day for dog walks and cuddles. I will stay in the home with your pets and treat them as my own family. It is helpful to know their schedule and habits so that they can have the familiar sense of routine and minimise stress for them 💗
