Pet care experience
I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I currently have a 12 year old Doberman, a 2 year old pitbull mix, 4 black cats, 2 donkeys, 6 chickens and a parakeet. In the recent past, I worked as a temporary Animal Care Technician at the Ingham County Animal Control which gave me experience handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and cats with different behaviors. I also learned a lot about giving medications and vaccines, animal enrichment, feeding guidelines and more. I am very interested in dog training so your dogs will get some free training as I am sure I will be practicing any new techniques I learn with my clients! Recently I opened a small dog daycare a mile down the road from my home. Any dog that stays with me will likely get to go down to play with other dogs during the day. If you would like to learn more, just ask!
Reviews
Alicia was great with my 4 month old Doberman Maddie. I felt totally comfortable leaving her with Alicia. I received pictures and videos of all the things that Maddie was enjoying. I would highly recommend her and will use her for future dog sitting needs
I didn’t notice a place to review her but we LOVED Alicia.. and the cats loved her. She was prompt, had great communication and everything was always done as expected.
I cannot say enough good things about Alicia and my experience with her!! This was my first experience with Rover itself, and I'm SO pleased I found Alicia! She loved and cared for my baby, Mochi, as if she was her own! I received daily photo / video updates on how Mochi was doing, and Alicia answered all of my questions and made me feel 1000% secure and comfortable. I was gone for 9 days, which is the longest I've ever been away from my puppy, but I didn't worry a single second because I knew she was in the best hands! Mochi had the time of her life, and I'd HIGHLY recommend Alicia to anyone who's looking for the best care for their dog!!
Alicia is amazing. She welcomed our pup into her home and treated P like a family member. We got daily updates and photos / videos so we knew what they were up to. Alicia even slept with our dog on her couch until she felt comfortable to sleep with their family dogs. That’s dedication and kindness you look for when someone cares for your furry friend. Thank you!!

Information Alicia W. would like to know about your pet
Please let me if your dog has any special needs or behavioral issues so I can be well prepared for the Meet and Greet or first visit. Have they had much interaction with other dogs/animals? Have they been boarded before? If so, how did they do?
A typical day
I like to stimulate your dogs both physically and mentally. I think keeping their minds busy is just as important as their bodies. I learned a lot about different enrichment activities while working at the shelter and would love to incorporate some into your dog's day.

Availability
Pet Care is my full time job. I love what I do. Please see my calendar or check with me on my availability for specific dates and times. BOARDING: Any dog I board must get along with my dogs. We will set up a free Meet and Greet at my home before the visit gets booked to make sure it will be a good fit. I have a large fenced in back yard but can also take your dog for daily walks if you prefer. We do also have 2 donkeys that share a fence line with our backyard area. They are used to dogs and have never broken through the fence.
