We love our furry creatures! Our pups recently passed away and We would love to take care of your pup(s) . Our home is on an acre of fenced-in property in a wooded area on the West End of Belleville. We also have lots of room inside, so your pup can choose between cool hardwood or warm carpeted floors; our pups have been known to curl up on the couch with us. Let us spoil you pup(s), too! We have taken care of friends' dogs for years - everything from 10 lb "mutts" to full grown German Shepherds. So your dog will be in excellent hands! About this sitter: A so50mething lover of animals - who would have 10 dogs if the family would let her! My pups are my children - after my son; they bring joy to my family's life! Why I love dog sitting Two days after buying our first home, my husband and I adopted our first dog, Cassidy. She was our "first born" and lived with us until she was 16. Three weeks later, we adopted Bear and Huck, 3 year old brothers, from the Belleville Humane Society. We couldn't imagine living without fur! My husband and I both grew up with dogs, and we have dog sat for friends for years. About my yard Our one acre fenced in yard is wooded and hilly, with a small grass area. We also have a doggie door, so if your dog is comfortable with it, they can come and go in the house and yard as they please. My experience administering medication Our one dog Bear had double knee surgeries, so I've become an expert at giving pills. I could learn to do injections.

Alicia was the best! It was hard for me to leave my buddy, Finnick. He had only spent one night away from us since we adopted him. That night was spent with his cousin greyhounds. Alicia kept me informed of how he was doing and what he was up to by sending lots of photos and we communicated about his first night jitters. After day one, he was at home! Thanks Alicia!!!

I feel so lucky to have found Alicia. Her home and setting are great, communication is prompt, pictures and updates frequent. My senior cockapoo, Lexi, was well taken care and she was clean and happy when we picked her up from a 10 day stay.

I try to give your pup an experience as similar to home as possible. If you crate your dog, feel free to bring your crate so they feel at home. If you don't crate your dog, You can also bring a dog bed, although we do have beds scattered around the house as well. We feel 2x a day, and even free-feeders adapt to that schedule easily. Walks can happen, though they have lots of room to roam on the property.

Any dog is welcome in our home, as long as they are not destructive. I do like to know about allergies, tolerance to people food, issues with thunderstorms, any commands you use regularly with your pup, and anything else I can use to make them feel comfortable at our house.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks If your dog needed a walk, we are at the end of a dead end street in a very quiet neighborhood. But I have a feeling they will have lots of time to get exercise in the yard. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Any place except our bed. Time I'll spend with your dog The dogs would be alone from 8-3 every day; but then the family comes home. If dogs are compatible, I do host multiple dogs at a time. If there was a problem between the dogs, we do have room to give "time outs" for rest.

I work part time in the area so pups are rarely left alone for more than 6 hours at a time. They get plenty of time outside when I am home.
