**I also have 20 years of experience with cats! I am very patient, loving, protective and possess pack leader skills. I can take it slow w/aging canines and also keep up a long run for the high energy adults and pups. I give limitless belly rubs, hugs and head scratches! I have walked dogs with great social skills and those who can be more on the shy side. Experience with giving meds, recovering dogs from surgery, cleaning wounds, allergies, special food needs and "potty" training. Day care: I have a sweet pitbull named Bodie who loves to play. Does great with small dogs, his bff is a russell terrier! If your dog doesn't do well with other breeds, NO PROBLEM! I live in a large duplex that enables me to safely separate the dogs while still leaving plenty of running space!

This was our first time having someone stay with our 2 senior female Dachshunds since we relocated to Chicago last summer, at their age and with some of their issues we are hesitant to board them anywhere and really prefer to have someone stay with them at our home. We were having a challenging time finding someone in the area we were comfortable with until we met with Alicia and had a meet and greet at our place. Right away we liked her personality, her professionalism and her demeanor, and our most difficult of the 2 girls seemed to feel at ease and take to her right away, which is more than half of the challenge. During our vacation and while Alicia took care of our 2 girls she sent us regular updates via text, including photos and videos and when we returned home everything was perfect! If our 2 girls were even the least bit challenging while we were away we didn't have to worry about it ... Alicia took care of everything and we would highly recommend her without hesitation. We feel fortunate to have found her and are looking forward to booking another stay with her again in the future.
We had a last minute need for pet/house sitter. Before we get into Alicia - who is awesome - let's talk about this site. So easy to use and so easy to get in touch with great people. Ok, back to Alicia. Did I mention she's awesome? She kept us up to date with pictures from her time with the animals and, for those of you with cats, I'm pretty sure she got along better with our cat than we do sometimes. You could tell from the moment that Alicia and the animals met that they were going to get along great together. We are the type of animal-parents who tend to leave 3 page long notes for our house/pet sitters because we worry that someone new won't spoil the animals in just the right way. Never once did we question if Alicia could handle it. We would absolutely use her again! Oh, and did I mention she is awesome?

Alicia did a great job with our dog and cat! We had just moved to Chicago, so both of our pets were feeling anxious with the new transition, but she did a great job caring for them! We loved the numerous photos, videos, and updates she sent. We would definitely hire her again!

A typical day
I will try to take a different walking/running route to excite your dog w/new smells. I'd be happy to run your block or choose a nearby park path. I will use whatever toys may keep your dog most intrigued; rope, tennis ball, tires, etc. With notice, I can provide these toys and treats. Day care : I live 2 blocks from the 606 where we can both get our daily excersize. I have an enclosed front and backyard; on nice days, we can hang outside and enjoy the weather.
