Say Cheese Pet Sitting, LLC

Pet care experience

NEW Updated Policy~12-29-23 We will require at least 5 days notice to cancel your reservation. All you need to do is say you found other options or your plans have changed. Sorry but too many clients ARE NOT canceling their reservations/requests at all and holding up that spot. If you do not cancel your reservation/request within that time frame you will be charged a $25 fee. We are gearing up for a NEW adventure. We are expanding our services since we are both working from home now. We will be adding dog walks and drop in visits. It will depend on your dogs needs and our schedules on whether it is myself or Matthew doing the walks/drop ins. We will still be boarding/doggie daycare each day for up to 19 dogs. So please understand that we are busy with our little girls (2yrs and 7yrs) and your dogs. We are a Licensed Boarding Facility with regulations like the big boarding facilities. We learned that you have to be compliment with the State of NC to board any dogs, we must follow all the same rules as Big Dog Boarding Facilities. Our HOME is a FACILITY!!! WE are one of just a few Licensed-In Home Facilities in NC. We still offer our normal in-home care with just a few (tons) of upgrades. Please check out our new facility pictures and you can see all the changes we have made to make sure that your dogs are well cared for and SAFE!!! All dogs (BOARDING IN OUR HOME) are required to be up-to-date on Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper vaccines and also be spayed/neutered if old enough (>1 yr.) We are boarding more puppies and senior dogs, and we want to protect every dog that boards with us. A paper copy of your dogs vaccine records will be kept on file in our home, in case anything ever happens. (I'll be happy to explain in more detail if needed.) All Dogs MUST have a collar and ID Tag when boarding. ALL Dogs must be OK with Crates/Kennels, we use them for Safety and so that each dog has their own space. We welcome your furry baby to come stay at our house while you're out of town. Don't want your furbaby to stay by him/herself or board in a kennel, still have a puppy in training, or on the older side that needs more attention? We will give them all the love and care they need. We designed our house and backyard for all our furry friends!! We have 2 dogs, so your dog can join on pack. We send you pictures and video to see all the action and fun they're having on their own vacation. About this sitter: Knowing that your furbabies are well taken care of in our Home., should set your mind at ease. I have worked at a vet and with rescue groups for over 15 years. Tons of playtime, and medications are no problem. As an over-protective fur-mommy, I do the same for all my clients. Each pet's experience is tailored to their individual needs. Your babies are treated like I treat my babies. I work at a Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic for over 2 years, before leaving to work from home, but have worked at vets for over 15 years. I also rescue and raise puppies and kittens for multiple animal rescue groups. Why I love dog sitting I have been rescuing and taking care of animals since I was a child. I love seeing all animals happy and still acting like puppies, at any age. I want other's dogs to enjoy their stay as much as you want them to. Meet my pets We have 2 mini Aussies (15-20 lbs each). We do have foster puppies every once in a while. However, All pets have their own spaces to call their own and we also keep dozens of kennels in different sizes to allow our pets and visiting pets have some quiet, alone time too. About my yard We have over an 1 acre of fenced in yard. The yard is completely open to run and play, with a fence divider in the middle to let multiple dogs play at the same time. One side is mainly grass and the other is rock with astro-turf and tons of play equipment to play on. My experience administering medication Yes. Pills, liquids, and even sub-Q fluids are not a problem.

I was pleased with Micah’s boarding. Alicia provided pictures and feedback during his stay. I needed to extend Micah’s stay an additional day and Alicia was more than accommodating. I will definitely use them again!

Wonderful, friendly, attentive!! They let me extend at the last minute so I could enjoy one more day away, which I appreciate! They sent me pictures and kept me informed of how my puppy was doing on her first overnight stay!!

I boarded my dog through the holiday week and weekend and Alicia was very nice and was very informational but I personally had an issue with her not responding to me until the night before I went to pick my dog up. She said she would be busy Thanksgiving which I understand but I would have liked some responses to my texts messages because I was concerned about it how my dog was adjusting. I only received 2 texts and 3 photos which I was under the impression it would be more since they are dog photographers.

Not very responsive, took a couple days to hear from them about setting up a drop off plan, we had to message multiple times in a row before getting a response. Also didn't hear from them throughout the stay. We had to reach out and ask about our dog and how she's doing and only then did we get an update and a picture. Our dog was in good shape coming home but would have appreciated more interaction/attentiveness from the sitters leading upto and during the stay. Especially seeing that at least one of them is/was a professional photographer, we were disappointed in the lack of pictures sent.

Any medical issues or concerns? Also, what their normal routine is, so that I don't stress them out more, since their parents are away? Are they diggers, jumpers, or escape artists?

A typical day

We don't really do walks anymore (on our property), since we have over 4 acres of land and 1.5 acres of that is completely fenced in. We play ball, frisbee, chase and more instead. Your dog's sleeping arrangement All dogs, even our own sleep in dog beds/bedding in kennels. This gives all the animals the ability to sleep in peace. Kennels are short naps and at nighttime, and feeding. Time I'll spend with your dog I run a photography business out of my home, am a Stay-at-Home mom and also refinish furniture, so I'm home almost all day long. I spend quiet relaxing time with the dogs while working on the computer. Then we have our crazy, catch, frisbee, pool, and sprinkler time outside throughout the day, and I love the dogs to hang out with me while I do yard work and projects. Time I'll spend with your dog Each dog and their needs are different. So I talk to each parent to tailor my visits to their pets' needs. Walks, playtime, etc for dogs can all take more time than feeding and playing with cats. Each experience is different. Extra house-sitting services Yes, I treat my clients' homes, just like I would want someone to treat mine.
