Pet care experience
I. Love. Dogs. I have always grown up with up to 8 at a time my entire life. Now that I cannot have that many myself, I miss it and want to help others give proper care to their furry loved ones while getting to spend more time with them. My first job when I moved back to WA was at an emergency vet clinic (I am now working in a human ER). I am trained in pet first aid, as well as minor grooming such as nail trimming. I'm an avid runner who is happy to have your furry friend join me! I also love cuddles and small explorations with the seniors and less active pups. I work only 2 days a week and am a student a few hours a week so my schedule is quite flexible. I live on 1 acre with plenty of running field for pets to play and look forward to getting to know your pet!

My dogs had a wonderful time. She's incredibly kind and understanding. Alicia and my dogs got along swimmingly. I'm so excited and relieved to have someone like her watch over my ancient dogs.

Let me start by saying Alicia is clearly a lover of all animals. When
Alicia has been my go to dog sitter for a couple of years now. Alicia and I are friends from work, and when I first saw her interacting with my border collie (Tucker) I knew she was going to be a good fit. Tuck can be a little hi maintenance, just in the normal rambunctious border collie way, but Alicia is always so calming and soothing with him. After only the first night sitting him (it was the 4th of July even!) Tucker gets so excited to see her. I don't like having to leave him with anyone else.

I do not have any breed preferences and love each and every one of them!! I have owned both small and large and all in between. My only preference to know is if you have any special concerns or requests(allergies, injuries, no running etc), as well as please know I love my pets as well (1 cat and 1 dog) and want them safe, so if your pet is aggressive or not yet socialized, a heads up is required for safety. I want your pet safe too so please just let me know any concerns and we will happily address them.
A typical day
I have boxes of toys and have lots of running room! Favorite places (so far) to walk include the very nearby interurban trail, Renton and Cedar River Trail and dog park, and the Soos Creek trail and dog park just to name a few. My dog loves tug-o-war but I love a fetching dog as well.. Or playing a game of chase around the yard. My dog would also love doing tricks for treats and car rides with a buddy if allowed. Another favorite is mini hikes like Rattlesnake and Mount Peak. If your furry family member has another favorite, I would love to learn it.
