Pet care experience
I have been a dog enthusiast all my life! In college I dog-sat for friends and professors but was not able to have my own pup since I lived on campus. Within 3 months of graduating, I adopted Scooby, the handsomest and most stubborn beagle you will ever meet. I love playing with him, teaching him new tricks, and exploring Austin neighborhoods and trails! I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and dogs that need a little extra attention due to anxiety or illness. I believe that dogs were meant to live full, enriching lives, so I’m always trying new games, treats, and toys to make sure that Scooby gets daily mental and physical activity.
Reviews
Alicia is the best! My cavapoo had another great week with Alicia and Scooby!
Alicia took care of our beloved cavapoo Arnold for 6 days. We couldn’t be happier with the experience. Arnold and Scooby got along great! We will definitely book again!
Alicia makes sure her own dog Scooby gets a long walk in the morning, even if he wakes up at 5:30. She goes home at lunch to walk him midday. She takes him to the dog park if she can see his buddies playing without him. She loves Scooby even if he chews on something he shouldn’t. She may not think your dog is as cute as hers, but she will definitely take as good care because she wants to make sure all dogs live a happy life like Scooby does.
Alicia and I have been close friends for years now and she is easily one of the most responsible and caring individuals I know. She adores animals and takes very good care of her own dog. I would absolutely trust her to care for my pets and I think she would do an amazing job!

Pets are treated like family at my house! As long as they’re well-behaved, I let them roam freely. I also have a 28x30x42 inch crate that I got after Scooby had a surgery and needed strict crate rest for several months, which is large enough for most dogs (75lbs or under at least). I only use it when Scooby is being a little too hyper or when I need to keep dogs separate during feeding time.

Information Alicia M. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know your dogs temperament and whether they have any special quirks / needs. Do they have any separation anxiety and how are they on walks? Unfortunately, I can’t take any dogs that are aggressive toward other dogs or dogs that are large and are still learning leash manners.
A typical day
A typical day for me, Scooby, and your pup while they stay with us: 7am - wakeup, morning cuddles, long walk 8am - breakfast 12pm - lunch walk around the courtyard 5pm - long walk 6pm - dinner, playtime, more cuddles and/or a family outing 10pm - final potty break and bed time I love walking along Lady Bird Lake or Bouldin Creek greenbelt. On the weekends I also like taking trips to Barton Creek greenbelt or Pease Park.

Availability
I currently work from home and my job is generally very flexible, so I can accommodate most potty schedules. Most of my non-work activities are dog friendly (e.g. drinks and board games at Cosmic, walking around Lady Bird Lake, grabbing lunch with friends on a dog-friendly patio.) During the one or two days a week when I do venture out without Scooby, I only leave him home alone for 2-4 hours. If your dog is comfortable, they’ll be part of the same activities as Scooby when they stay with me :)
