I have lived with dogs and cats my entire life. I understand that your pet is your child, and I will treat them as such. For dogs, we can go on long walks (or short walks if the baby gets tired easily!), throw balls and sticks, and I may even take a go at teaching them how to sit, lay down, and play dead upon your approval. For cats, we can play with toys or the red laser light or even give them a respectful distance. I love cuddling both cats and dogs, and I am used to cleaning up after them (from poop scooping in the backyard to a litter box change). I know your pet may be stressed with a new person taking care of them, but I am here for them to feel comfortable and happy under my guidance.
