Pet care experience
Hey there! My name is Alicia & I have 15 years experience providing a safe and FUN environment for all kinds of wonderful pets! Between volunteering at Williamson County Animal Center, personal pet-sitting gigs & working with various dog trainers in Nashville & Birmingham, I have worked with (almost) all breeds ranging from a tiny 15 pound chihuahua to Truman, the 220 lb great dane. Why do I do this? Honestly, I feel the happiest when surrounded with animals. I firmly believe that they do provide unconditional love and give so much to us humans on a daily basis! It is probably obvious that I LOVE photographing pets, and there is so much to learn from every different pet personality. Thanks to my past experience, I am extremely well-versed in caring, training, exercising, feeding, administering meds, etc. Please know that if I am caring for your pet, whether for a short walk or an extended overnight stay, he/she is getting ALL of my attention 24/7. I can easily make sure that your dog is happy, loved, exercised, loved, given a bath (if you wish), has a great time.... and LOVED!!! Definitely have a soft spot for rescues as I have 3 of my own! My favorite thing to do is to take pictures of your pets and keep you updated on their time with me!!!

Alicia was great to work with. My pups seemed very happy, my apartment was left fully in tact and locked up. She sent pictures and kept me up to date the entire time.

Information Alicia G. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know as much as I can about your dog before providing my services. I believe that it is very important that I get a feel for your pet's personality to ensure that he/she is the happiest. I find this is especially important for dog-sitting & house-sitting so that the pup does not experience anxiety if the family is away. I want nothing but that absolute best for your sweet boy/girl and I will go to the utmost extreme to ensure that! (Please reference my photos for a copy of the Pet Sitter Checklist & Report Card that will be filled out at the meet & greet to ensure your pet has the most relaxing, enjoyable experience.)
A typical day
If I am caring for your pet, at our Meet & Greet, I will custom tailor a written schedule for him/her based on 1) what you want for your pet while you are away, 2) what activities/exercise your pet enjoys the most & 3) a schedule consistent on what your pet receives at home. By doing so, I ensure that your pet will have the safest & most enjoyable time while you are away. For my little fur family, we prefer to go on walks at Harlinsdale Farm (Franklin across from the Factory) or a nearby park/path that has some shade & grass to protect those paws! Rivers are always a bonus as well! I am always in for a game of fetch or tug-o-war, but I also understand some dogs would rather lay back and relax in the shade on the grass and just soak in the views. I LOVE to try and teach/reinforce basic commands such as sit/stay/roll over/down/etc and have a 50 ft lunge leash to make sure the pup has plenty of space and freedom yet still is conveniently safe and protected by the care of the leash. I would love to hear what your dog enjoys the most and provide specific activities tailored to your dog's personality! For example, two of my pups are younger and love to play with toys and run around. My other pup (my sweet Titus), however, is older and would much rather prefer to lay on a blanket in the shade and dream about catching all the squirrels. Long story short: It's all about you & your pet!
