I have an extensive history of dog ownership, fostering, volunteer work, and advocacy through animal shelters. Dogs are my life. I'm a specially trained dog volunteer with the Humane Society since 2008, have fostered dogs in my home since I was a kid, and am a former member of the Board of Directors of the SPCA. I lost my canine soul-mate, a rescued Shiba Inu mix who I had for 10 years, to an inoperable sudden illness. The best way I can honor her is to take care of other dogs and give them the support, love, and fun environment that I gave to her. I have never not had a dog in my life, and am experienced with all breeds, from Chihuahuas to German Shepherds. I currently have a 7-year old rescued female German shepherd/corgi mix! I have a quiet home and am able to take dogs outside or for walks at any time. To provide excellent care to all dogs, I will never take more than 2 dogs at one time unless they come from the same household. I tailor my sitting to your dog's preferences; I love running and if your dog needs to burn energy, I will run as long as they want to, play fetch, or whatever they like to do. If you have a senior or timid dog, I will provide a peaceful and quiet stay with lots of love, naps, and anything they need! Notes: *For boarding, I am only able to take dogs from late afternoon until the following morning. I am currently unable to board at my home full days during daytime hours (between 10am and 4pm). * I am available for half day sitting at my home occasionally, with advance notice.
