Pet care experience
For 5 years I worked and volunteered at the Humane Society, originally in Seattle, then in Truckee. I am comfortable giving medications if needed! Because of my shelter experience I'm also good at reading body language and behaviors, and not letting puppy-dog-eyes negotiate for more treats! I've walked all sizes and speeds of dogs, a couple of cats, and have even been on a bunny walk too. For about 10 years I have been getting to hang out with my friends pets while they go on vacations. Mostly dogs and cats, but there have been goats, chickens, guinea pigs, and birds. I'm a farm girl too, so give me the bigger beasts if you can!

Alicia is a trustworthy, energetic dog sitter! We have two VERY HIGH energy dogs and she is GREAT with them. She takes them for walks, talks sweet to them and makes sure to give them quality cuddle time too. She is respectful of our home and when we come home, it's always as we left it. The best is how our dogs respond to Alicia when they see her...they LOVVVVVVE her!!!! Need I say more?!?

Plus, you can travel without worry, knowing that your home is being looked after. I will remember to put out the trash, bring in the mail, water your yard, and I always leave your place as clean or cleaner than when you left.

A typical day
Walks are your dog's time, so if they want to stop and smell every stick, tree trunk and fence post, I let them! An active dog motivates me to get out and explore more with them, and a quieter pet means extra snuggle time on the couch.

Availability
I work full-time in Auburn, but live in Grass Valley, and am able to work from home SOME days. I will be able to walk and play with your pet in the morning and evening and all day on weekends! For in-home pet sitting or daytime visits, if it's in the Auburn area, I have midday availability.
