There hasn't been a year of my life in which I didn't have any pets in the home. The only reason I do not have one currently is because my son (dog named London) passed away (age 13) a few years ago and my home was feeling empty, so I joined Rover as a dog boarder. This way I get to play with other peoples dogs. I started being responsible for my own pets by the time I was 10 years old. I have cared for cats, dogs, birds, snakes, rabbits, rats, and even a tarantula. I love to spoil my pets with tons of attention and maybe sometimes treats and toys. Put it this way, many of my friends want to come back in their next lives as one of my pets. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods of time. I currently do some part time work from home; therefore, I am home most of the day except for some errands here and there. I like being home for the dogs because if they are nervous, I can comfort them and keep them occupied. When I am hosting a dog, I only watch one dog at a time or two dogs from the same family. I know that a lot dogs don't always get along well with others, especially in a strange environment. There are no other pets in the household. Your pets safety is always my main concern. I am a retired registered nurse, so I am not at all squeamish about giving medications to pets. Most importantly, I love to cuddle, play, and pet all different kinds of animals. Your loved one is allowed on my furniture (including my bed), plus I have a few dog beds available. I have a small backyard if you prefer for your dog to do their business there or I can walk them. I love getting my exercise by walking dogs, which I mostly do at night here in Tucson since it is too hot in the afternoons for your loved ones paws. I am home most of the time, since I do part time work from home. I try not to leave a pet alone for more than 2 hours while I do errands. I am usually home most of the day, so I can let your dogs outside in my backyard whenever they want to go. I go outside with them in my secured fenced backyard. When I walk a dog, I cross the street if I see a dog coming towards us.
