Hi, my name is Alice, and my name is Elaine. We are a Mother and Daughter dog walking duo and between us, we have over 70 years experience with dogs! Please note Doggy Day Care and Boarding is based at clients house, not ours. Dogs have been a huge part of our life, not only are our dogs pets, they are also show dogs. We have won countless awards in the show ring and have made many dogs up as show champions. Not only do we show dogs, but we also judge them. Put together, we judge over 20 different breeds, ranging from German Wirehaired Pointers to Dobermanns. In order to become a judge, you have to take and pass several exams, where you have to learn the correct breed standards and characteristics of each breed. We also helped run a dog training club, where we taught inexperienced handlers and dogs, of all ages, to understand each other and to become more obedient and even become show dogs themselves. Alice: Since the age of six I have been showing and have won countless awards in the show ring, making my dog up as a champion and also competing in the obedience finals at Crufts. Recently, at Crufts 2019, I represented the Gundog group in the Best In Show ring, for the Young Kennel Club. I am an ambassador for the Young Kennel Club where I promote activities for dog lovers aged between 6 -24, training youngsters on how to handler and look after their dogs and have even had the opportunity to do work experience at the Kennel Club. Elaine: Taking time out from showing dogs, I also organise and put together the local companion dog show. I have also done obedience training and currently learning about field trials. If you have any questions about your dog, ie. coat, behaviour etc, I am sure to know the answer! Over the years, many friends have trusted us with looking after their dogs as they know they will be in safe hands and know we will treat their pets as we would our own with love, walks and of course lots of cuddles!
