Pet care experience
I am a "retired" stay at home mom. I have a lot of time and love to give to your furry child. My husband and I currently have a 6 year old lovable, playful goldendoodle named Murphy! We brought our first family dog ( a black lab named Bailey into our home around 25 years ago for our children. Five to six years later we brought home another dog( a yellow lab) named Yeager. Our black lab passed and sometime after this we began caring for our daughters Lhasa Apso ( Oliver) while she was working. ( Ollie) soon became our full time family member. Yaeger and Ollie since passed and we brought Murphy in to our home. We allow him to be out as often as he wants. Even when it rains I am out throwing him a ball. I have tile in my kitchen and this is very conducive for clean up after toweling off furry paws. He loves retrieving balls in our yard and doesn't mind sharing! He and I walk at least 2x a day sometimes more if the temperature is comfortable. We have talked about adding another dog to our home to love and a playmate for Murphy but have decided to wait and that me dog sitting would be wonderful in the interim. If your fur baby loves to sit on laps then we accommodate. Our neighborhood is very safe and full of dogs to meet along our walks. My husband and I have 6 adult children and 11 grandchildren. I have lived in St. Louis my whole life and my husband since he was 7 years. We would love to care for your furry child in our home and look forward to meeting him/her and you!

From the first time I met Alice and her husband I knew this was the place for my dog. Alice sent me pictures throughout our 10 day trip and kept me well informed of his days. I would highly recommend Alice for your dog or cat and will definitely be using her again!

Alice was so great with my Shiba, Kuma! We just moved to St. Louis and were looking for a good pet sitter. We went to sniff arounds at four pet sitters' houses and were really happy with what we learned at Alice's. Her home is very clean, she has a nice fenced in backyard and a super friendly pup to keep Kuma company. Multiple daily walks kept her happy and also tired her out. And since I was nervous about Kuma being home alone in a new place, I chose Alice since she and her husband are retired and are home most of the day to keep my pup company. I was so pleased with our experience with Alice that I already have booked her for a doggy daycare session next week. I highly recommend her!
We cannot say enough positive things to state how wonderful Alice is! Sophie came home so happy and in fact, she is missing Alice's dog, Murphy. They had so much fun together! Alice was terrific in sending updates. Sophie will not be suffering from any adjustment period like she would if she had been boarded at a kennel. Book with Alice and your dog will feel like he/she is with family.

I would like to know if your dog currently has any special needs to be considered, and what is the activity level of your dog. Also if your dog gets along with cats ( our Tigger loves dogs if they give him a chance). If your dog sleeps through the night. I listed in my preferences that " I prefer a crate trained" dog however, your dog is allowed to sleep outside of the crate if he currently does this at your home. My Murphy is crate trained but at his age he no longer uses the crate.
A typical day
We walk in our spacious neighborhood and on Grants Trail. We love to play fetch the ball and or swim in a little pool if very hot out. We love to be outside but also love to be inside if this is your dogs favorite place. Your dog will receive all the love and attention we give our Murphy!
