I grew up surrounded by animals my whole life! My family always had animals from dogs to cats and even a bird once. My aunt trained dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind so I was always used to being around by 5-7 dogs at a time. When I was younger, I loved to volunteer at the Richmond SPCA as a dog walker in my free time after school and on weekends. Due to being trained in animal safety there, a lot of my family and friends hired me to watch their animals when they went on vacation. My parents own a 14 year old Rottweiler mix that I have help trained since we rescued him at 1 years old. I’m welcoming to senior dogs and do not believe any breed of dog is violent (I do not turn down pit bulls).

Before I book any pets, I make sure to ask you what you want out of your walks or drop in visits. From there, we can establish a routine that you are comfortable with while I can be aware of your pets needs ahead of time. I don't give any pets treats/food, toys, etc. without the explicit permission and instruction from you and will always make sure to show the upmost respect to your property! If you have any concerns, we can always do a meet and greet for the purpose of guiding me around your property before any visits.

Let me know if your animal has any special needs, physical disabilities, behaviors, or preferences before we book! I am willing to work with almost everything and love to just know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly if needed. It is always good to know too if your pet is wary off new people, anxious, or shy so we can schedule a meet and greet ahead of time.
A typical day
I just started getting back into running so if you have a high energy pup that loves to run, I'd be happy to do that with them on a scheduled walk! If you live near a park or dog park, I also love to take them there to interact with different smells, people, and animals as long as it's safe to do so and I have permission from you. Lastly, I am an avid hiker so if you really want to wear your dog out, I'd be happy to take them on a hike with me on request. Hikes should be requested with 60 minute walk times to account for travel time to and from home!

Availability
I do not have pets of my own yet since I just moved back to Richmond after being gone for 6 years. In exchange, apps like Rover have given me a great opportunity to love on some animals in my free time off work. I love taking care of other peoples pets and seeing all the different personalities of each animal! I am am a full-time nurse, but I hope to continue Rover even with a primary job! My schedule changes weekly and I usually work 12 hour shifts on both days and nights. I am willingly to still book on days that I work as long as you are able to be flexible with times! I try to confirm my calendar regularly as well.
