Hi, I'm Ali! I've been caring for dogs professionally full time since November 2018. I currently own and operate a small daycare for dogs under 40lbs in a separate building next to my home. We offer a homey environment with toys, couches, treats, a big yard to run around, 8-foot solid fencing, constant supervision and plenty of small friends! Our daycare only caters to dogs under 40lbs due to the space we have, however I'm happy to take care of larger dogs when taking a dog out for a walk or performing a check-in at your home. I typically have anywhere between 10-15 dogs with me on any given weekday for daycare. They are my regulars and are a fabulous group of pups. If your dog is ok with other dogs following a slow and proper introduction, I'd love to have them join our crew! We typically roam inside and outside throughout the day, with lots of toys to play with and brief breaks to practice some basic training skills, such as sit (without barking). I became involved in the "dog world" in 2012 when I fostered my first NYC Animal Control Center death row puppy. He was sick, scared, and was my responsibility until we could find him a forever home. After we took him in, we rescued five more dogs off of the 24-hour death row watch from the same shelter. Most of these dogs were bully breed or pit bull mixes and needed extreme love and patience for them to feel safe again. This experience has taught me how to work with dogs in THEIR language. Many people act as though dogs can tell what we're saying, but they rely mostly on body language, tone, and structure. Now, I'd love to meet your dog!
