I have always loved animals of all kinds! My mother used to tell stories about me, sitting on the sidewalk as a toddler, helping ants and "wooly worms" across the sidewalk into the grass. I honestly don't remember that, but these feelings have carried over throughout my whole life. I have cared for dogs literally since I was old enough to walk. The only time I did not have a dog as a companion was while I was in the Army for 3 years. I currently have 2 wonderful boys, Pippin and Sam, who are my best friends and companions. I have been lucky to have them as roommates for 6 years now, and they are like my children. Along the way, I have cared for many cats, chickens, guinea pigs, a ferret, several rats; along with taking care of my family and friends' animals whenever they needed me to. I live just south of Amarillo, with numerous country roads and neighborhood streets that are great for walks. I love walking dogs, playing with cats, and spending time making sure all of my animal friends are happy. I have a 6-foot metal fence surrounding approximately 1/2 acre of open space for animals to enjoy. There are trees for shade, plenty of fresh water, and occasionally a "kiddy pool" full of water. When your dogs are with me, they will not be left alone all day. I love the interaction and fun of hanging out with them. I don't consider any breed to be a "problem breed". However, my dogs are fairly small as are some of my clients' dogs. If your dogs are aggressive, that is something we need to talk about and try to figure out a solution. I can certainly take pictures to send to you while you are away. I know what I would expect if I had to leave my dogs in someone's care, and I will do everything I can to ensure you feel comfortable leaving your "babies" with me!
