Hi! I am Aleya and I have been on Rover for about a year now. I have owned and taken care of dogs since I was little. Growing up we had a yellow lab named Truman who gave us a sweet boy TJ. TJ is old and requires a lot of special attention so I am familiar with the needs of older dogs. Along with TJ my family has a shih tzu terrier, and a husky German Shepard mix. These two (females) love meeting friends so I am happy to bring them along if your pet needs someone to run out their energy with! I love pet sitting and have done many jobs including drop ins, overnight and longer stays, and walks. I started pet sitting when I was younger and have continued to do so throughout the years when I have the opportunity. I also looove cats and own one who I have had for 2 years now. I am super comfortable around them no matter their temperament. Cats have boundaries and independence that I have so much respect for. A little more about me! I just graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. I was born and raised in SLC and have always had a strong love for our beautiful state. I have been in Sugarhouse for a few years and am excited to meet some amazing pets and their owners!

Aleya was wonderful with communication and sending photos of our dogs while she watched them. We appreciated her attentiveness and care while we were gone. Would definitely recommend! :)
Aleya is great. She has watched our two senior dogs several times now and is always communicative and dependable. It’s so wonderful to return home from our trips to two dogs that have been so loved/snuggled and a home that has been kept clean.

Any information on your pet's temperament is very important as well as how they get along with other animals. It is important to know if they are shy or aggressive towards people or other pets so to avoid any stress for them and involved parties. Allergies or special diet and restrictions on activity due to past or current injuries is super important to know about. Please be open so we can have the best experience for you, myself, and your pets!
A typical day
I love playing fetch, tug-a-war, playing in water, and hiking w my doggo friends! One of my favorite dog friendly walks is Tanner Dog Park as well as Dog Lake in Millcreek for more of a workout. I love being outdoors and sharing that with the best adventure buddies. And when the time calls, I also love to cuddle and lounge around!

Availability
I currently work at a brunch restaurant and my schedule changes weekly. I typically work 3-5 days of the week/weekend and work 6-8 hour shifts. I would love to do evening walks or hikes and can do drop ins in the early am or evening. I would love to build relationships and have regulars as well as be ready for those who need the occasional help.
