When I first met the sitter I thought she seemed friendly and attentive. I just knew things would work out. I was wrong. First, I was a bit concerned that she was housing a total of 4 dogs in her apartment, which was very small. But she seemed like she would take the dogs out frequently and I thought maybe it would not be an issue. While my dogs were there, their new dog food didn’t agree with them and they threw up once. She promptly alerted me and i immediately got a new bag of food delivered to her. This interaction was a plus. However, things changed…. Even though I told her not to excessively give the dogs water and that when they do get water they usually go right out or within 30 minutes… she then complained to me that the dogs peed after she gave them a bunch of water and waited more than an hour to take them out. She also complained that my dog was awakened by her neighbors’ noise in the hallway outside of her apartment and that she would bark at the noise. I mean she’s a dog, in a new place, hearing unfamiliar noises. I gave her tips to crate my dog etc to help. Instead of creating her at night, she crated her throughout the day while the other dogs roamed freely. Then told me my dog destroyed and bent the metal crate within 2 minutes after she went to hand off 1 of the other dogs. First of all, that’s not only ridiculous but impossible! No dog can break through METAL in 2 minutes. I have extreme concerns that she had my dog stuck in this small crate for an extended and unsafe period of time while the other dogs were freely roaming around. This situation sounded more like my dog was fighting for her life! My dog is crated at home without issue. Needless to say after less than 24 hours she texted me to come get the dogs. Though I was out of the country. I guess I was supposed to teleport. I had to get a new sitter, who had ZERO problems with my dogs! Literally no issues. I was so shocked because honestly I really thought this would be a great stay for my dogs. She seemed so nice. Maybe it was just a bad weekend for her, but never again. I think it’s extremely inappropriate and unprofessional to tell a pet parent that you’re canceling their stay while their indisposed. Especially for these minor things (which I’m doubtful even occurred now that I think about it). Also, though she texted me repeatedly, after I assured her I was trying to find a solution while 10,000 feet in the sky, about getting the dogs picked up… she was so very slow to issue my refund after she evicted my pups. In fact after she told me she would cancel the stay and adjust the reservation, she didn’t at all. I texted her and literally she did not respond and kept the reservation open so it looked my dogs were there. I had to contact customer service to resolve the issue.. All I can say is good luck and I hope your pet has a better stay.

Alexus took great care of our cats while we were away! Our cat who is usually too shy to meet people even came out and said hi to her. :)
