My Grandparents were farm people. I grew up very close to the family farms. My jobs were to feed, groom and to tend each animal and check for any imperfections or scrapes/cuts. These animals included cows, horses, chickens, one rooster, one opossum, a family of hunting beagles and one really mean bird dog named Rex. It was a great time, and I started this at age four and ended helping at age thirteen. By then, my hands were worn and I knew how to repair barns, train hunting dogs and milk cows. Now, I'm an Engineer and a Camera Technician. My job consists of building cameras and repairing lighting gear. This work can be dangerous and very stressful. What makes me relaxed or brave enough to keep going at my lonely work is my Dog named DeeOhGee. My Dog is a 20 year old Jack Russell. DeeOhGee has been my friend since I was a kid, and has helped me babysit all of my nieces and nephews.
