Friendly Dog-Loving Sitter/Walker!
Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Alexis! I started out dogsitting for friends, family & neighbors growing up, but then I began to build experience with several clients in multiple cities over the years. I also owned two very healthy/happy dogs with my family for 14 years. Once I graduated college years ago, I became active full-time with Rover for a few years, and have had the pleasure of not only taking care of some amazing pups, but also building great relationships with both them and their owners. I am a dog person, but I’m very much a people person too! Due to the pandemic, I held off on accepting clients for the majority of it out of safety and concern, but now that I'm vaccinated I'm happily offering my services again! I take the precautions for Covid-19 very seriously, as health and safety is my #1 priority. I can guarantee that your dog would be in safe and trustworthy hands if you were to hire me. Message me if you're interested or if you have any questions. Thanks! PLEASE READ: I charge a higher rate for holidays and extended stays of 5 nights or more, so please take a moment to fully review my listed prices before submitting requests as to avoid any awkwardness or confusion!
Reviews
Alexis is the best! She provided constant updates (including multiple photos / update) & overall super accommodating and really easy to work with. Thank you so much, Alexis!
Alexis did a great job dog sitting out pup! He give lots of individual attention and updates!
Alexis did a great job with her drop in visit on our pup! Sent photos throughout and was punctual and communicative!
Alexis is professional, communicative, and detail-oriented. All of these qualities eased my nerves when my pup was in her care. Ivy’s looking forward to the next time!

I'm currently not offering boarding services at the moment, but I live in a house at the back of my landlord’s property, which is fenced off (twice) from the front. That said, I always err on the side of caution and limit outside activity to leashed walks or supervised play time on my small porch, which I block off from the stairs leading up to it. There are small dogs that walk about the property, but they’re incredibly harmless. If I’m staying in a client’s home, it’s ultimately dependent on what they’re comfortable with but I of course still reserve the same level of caution for their pups and respect for their space.

My schedule can be flexible, but keeping in touch is a must. I build my schedule around my bookings, so please always be clear about times and try to give me as much notice as possible. On the topic of being clear, please please PLEASE be 100% honest about your dog. I know not every dog is going to be well-behaved 24/7 and certainly not every owner is the same, but I will always appreciate full honesty from the owner so I know exactly what to expect. That makes my job easier and gives me a better idea on how to take care of your pup based on their own needs and whatever issue they may have*. It’s better for me to hear it from you upfront than to discover it on my own later on. I promise I will not judge you! :) Lastly, I don't currently have any dogs of my own, but I am surrounded by neighbors who all have dogs, including my landlord who lives on the same property I do. They're all outside dogs that bark at everyone, but are generally harmless. * I always expect some initial anxiety for every dog who stays with me or is in the early stages of getting to know me, so because of that I’m extremely patient and empathetic when it comes to dogs I take care of not acting how they usually do. I will always take this into consideration first before considering anything else!
A typical day
I like to spend a lot of quality time with the dogs I take care of & I make sure they spend enough time outside to play & do any bathroom business that needs to be taken care of. I enjoy playing with the dogs I sit but I'm completely respectful & mindful of any request given by the owner regarding the dogs (as long as it's humane and doesn’t put either the dog or me in harm’s way).

Availability
Because this is my main profession currently, my schedule mostly consists of primarily dog walking and stays, and I tend to build the rest of my schedule around these bookings.
