Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child. Friends have trusted me to care for their pets for years, and now I'm opening my home to dogs in my community. I love getting to know your dog and making him or her feel comfortable and cherished while you are away. I have 2 cats and an 8 pound dog who loves to make new friends and specializes in drawing shy dogs out of their shell. My goal is to make sure all of the animals in my care are respected, loved and cared for every day!

Alexis was awesome! Loved on my sweet elderly babe! Sent updates and pictures daily and even got my dog out hiking and in the water, which she loves!
My goodness I am so happy to have found Alexis to care for my 10 lb dog. She is the most conscientious, responsive, caring dog sitter I've come across in a long while. My dog and hers got along well, I loved getting the messages from her about how my dog was doing, and my dog seemed relaxed when I picked her up. Thank you and I look forward to another visit!

I would love to understand your dog's schedule and preferences and duplicate them as closely as possible while they are with me. I am taking one dog at a time so they can feel really cared for while you are away! I aim to offer the next best thing to being loved on at home by you.

I would love to know about your dogs schedule and preferences. Do they love to play ball? Go to the dog park? How do they do interacting with other animals in home or put on walks? Do they have any medical or behavioral needs I should attend to? What is their usual activity level? Do they have any special dietary needs? How would ypu describe their personality? What makes them happiest?
A typical day
I'd love to learn more about your dog's schedule and needs and tailor a great stay for them! I often combine yard play sessions with a neighborhood walk, or take a longer walk or hike. On really rainy days, I offer enrichment t activities and indoor play. I find that most small dogs love a combination of activity and snuggles or lap time and strive to give your dog the just right balance!

Availability
I work part time during the school year, and my partner works from home, so someone is always home with our pets and guests. During the school year, we love neighborhood walks on my school days, and on my days off and in the summer, we love to play in our large fenced yard and take long walks at local parks. We love hiking in the summer and would love to add your dog to our "tiny but mighty" trail club if you and they would like!
