Pet care experience
Hello! I may be new to the area, but I'm not new to pet care! I'm a 25 year old Grocery Store worker by day, student by night, and pet sitter in between! I just moved from Massachusetts where I ran my pet sitting business, Hyper Care Co, full time. I grew up helping my mom run her business, she is a Vet Tech during the week and a Groomer and Trainer on the weekends. Pet Care is second nature to me, and I can't wait to meet you and your pets while I explore my new city! I have +15 years of professional and educational experience in dog walking, pet medication administration, light obedience training, and grooming. I am able to administer almost any type of medicine, even injections/fluids, and have met and cared for pets with all sorts of health struggles. While cats and exotic pets are my specialty, I love having dogs as friends! I have cared for many dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, birds, and aquariums in both personal and professional settings for many years. I am insured through PCI, which protects both me and your pet from unlikely accidents or misfortunes, and will soon be certified in pet first aid/CPR.

Alexis is amazing!! She sent me updates and pictures and really understood my dog who can be anxious. I trusted and trust her 100 percent and am so excited to have found her to care for Shaggy. She also took great care of my house and left it in better shape then when we left :).
Alexis is a wonderful cattsitter. She is taking care of our elderly and sick cat, giving him a plethora of medicines (oral and injections). At the same time, she is going above and beyond to make sure that he eats despite his poor apetite. I'm so happy to have her taking care if our beloved kitty.
Alexis is a wonderful person and dog sitter. She is very responsible and professional regarding setting up times and confirmation of the times. She interacts wonderfully with our dog and I plan on calling on her many more times in the near future!!!!
This is the first time leaving our 1 year old beagle. Alexis was amazing. She made us and Maddi feel so comfortable. We missed our Maddi so much but knew she was in good hands. Alexis sent daily pictures and texts everyday. We were more at ease leaving her. She even left us a thank you card. Alexis is sweet kind and very capable to care for Maddi. We would use her again.

The booking process: It helps me a lot if you’re able to fill out your pet(s) profile accurately, with a photo and their basic information. When you send me a request, the first thing I do is check that you’re within my service range. Rover calculates distance “as the crow flies” instead of by driving or public transit distance, so sometimes this results in your house being too far away from me. After a little chat to make sure I’m available and fit your pet’s needs, I like to set up a Meet & Greet. I require Meet & Greet’s for all new clients, where we can go over details and I can see where I’ll be caring for your pet. These usually last around 30 minutes. If you’d like to set up a second meeting, we can have a small chat over the phone or you’re welcome to book me at my 30 minute drop-in rate. I have an intake form that I have all new clients fill out, where you can have all details and info for your pet easily accessible to me, and I have a contract that both parties sign and agree to before booking. These documents help me keep all of my records clear and concise, and protect everyone involved. If you have any questions at all about the booking process, feel free to reach out! I do not have any breed preferences, but would love to know lots about your pet's personality and general attitude towards life! Please share any allergies, behavioural concerns, medical troubles, and emergency contacts with me before booking! The more information you can give, the better and safer I'll be able to look after your pet!
A typical day
I can provide a wide range of activities! Is your pet a couch potato? Great! We can cuddle up on the couch and watch TV together. Are they more outdoorsy and like to play a lot? That's also great, we can run and play to their heart's content! Whatever you and your pet like best, I'm more than happy to accommodate! My favorite thing to do with dogs is to go on nice long walks where they can sniff to their hearts content. On the other hand, my favorite thing to do with cats is tied between cuddling up somewhere and petting them for as long as they want, and spending lots of time with them and their favorite toys!

Availability
While Pet Care is a part-time job for me, your pet's well being is mu full-time priority. I am available Sunday through Saturday for morning walks/drop-ins and Wednesday-Thursday my day is almost complete free to spend with your pets! I put a lot of time and effort to help you keep your pet’s schedule as normal as possible while you are away or at work, to keep them as happy and healthy as can be! If you're looking for daytime drop-ins with an exotic pet/a pet who isn’t a cat or dog, please book me at my ‘cat care’ rate and we’ll discuss your pets’ care needs ☺️
