Pet care experience
Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me and why I chose Rover. While you consider me to care for your fury babies—I do work full time at a vet clinic out in Sacramento (Tuesday-Saturday). I have been with this particular clinic for 3.5 years. I am very familiar with medication schedules, taking care of elderly dogs/cats and everyone in between. I am NOT a licensed Vet Technician (I am a vet assistant). I have over a decade of animal experience. I even specialize in reptiles/amphibians. I believe in giving every animal an abundance of love and care. I do not like taking dogs to dog parks. There’s a lot of diseases and can be fairly dangerous. Seeing as I would be a stranger coming to care for your pets, they are not used to me and are unsure whether they can trust me or not. I like to take things slowly and build their trust. I 100% request to meet in person WITH your pets so they can smell me and see how I interact with you. If they see that you’re trusting me then it makes it a little easier for them to trust me. I have been a sitter with Rover since 2016. If you would like to receive my services, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I usually respond within 1-2hrs.
Reviews
I had a medical emergency with my senior cat just a few days before I left on vacation and I was nervous about leaving her. Alex was amazing at taking care of her, my senior dog, and other kitty. She kept me informed of how they were doing while I was away and the house was clean and in great shape when I returned. Thank you so much, Alex!
Alexis is wonderful. We have a shy, 15 year old cat with some health problems. Alexis knew just how to approach him so that he got to know her gradually and was never frightened. We also feel very lucky to have found someone who can administer the shots he needs for diabetes and the fluids he needs for kidney disease. Alexis has been quickly responsive to my texts and always on time. She is very reliable and she left the house clean and neat. I highly recommend her, especially if you have a cat with extra needs. We are looking forward to having her take care of our cat again very soon. Thank you, Alexis!
This was our first time booking with Alexis for a house sitting, and will definitely book with her again. She took great care of the house and our dog seemed very comfortable and happy when we got home which lets us know she was comfortable with Alexis. She sent us pictures and videos upon request. Alexis is a genuine, sweet, and caring person. Highly recommend!
Alexis did an amazing job! My house was exactly how I left it. My animals were happy and well cared for. She kept us updated regularly and I will definitely book Alexis again!

My animals are my top priority and so are yours. They’re the fist thing I take of when I wake up and right when I get home. I always put others needs before my own (especially when it comes to animals). I respect you, your animals, your home (safe space) and your routines. I do my best to not stray for your routines with your pets as it can stress them out. I like to leave your home the way I found it.
Information Alexis L. would like to know about your pet
The things I would like to know about your pet before sitting them are as follows: are they people friendly? Have they ever bitten anyone including a stranger? Are they friendly to other animals? Do they have allergies? Do they require special treatment/attention other than the normal? Are they kid-friendly (for when we are out in public)? Do they have any disabilities or physical limitations? Are they taking any medications and/or supplements?
A typical day
I absolutely love nature! Trails are great for dogs. Before I take your dog(s) of a walk, I will research the area to check out the parks/trails near the home. I particularly like “parks” that don’t have dog parks. This way I get more time with your pet and can give him/her my full attention. I also love playing with doggos! So if your dog loves to play, rough house, and be active—I will be able to fulfill your animals love language ❤️

I currently work full time (Tuesday through Saturday) at a vet clinic out in Sac. So house sitting is the best service I provide. Sundays and Mondays are my leisure days but I will take on clients on those days as well.
