Pet care experience
Hi! I have a great deal of experience with both small and large dog breeds of all ages. I have had three dogs while I was growing up (a poodle, a Golden retriever/collie mix, and a black Labrador) and many cats, and have been pet sitting since I was a youngster. I was also a member of 4-H club that dealt with training seeing eye dogs and gained significant experience in obedience training. I am more than happy to give you peace of mind while you are away that your pet is in good hands, and will send updates and photos of our time together! My work schedule is very flexible, and I am available for overnight visits as well. Alexis took wonderful care of our dogs!
From start to finish, my experience with Alexis was excellent. She was great with communication, including taking the time to speak with me before the visit so she could learn all the ins, outs, and quirks of my Ninja and Louie. She sent updates during the day, and the boys were very content when I picked them up. Not only would I recommend Alexis to anyone looking for safe, reliable pet care, but I will definitely book her again for my own dogs in the future!
Alexis did an awesome job with my Chocolate Lab, Max. She was punctual and spent alot of time walking and taking care of him. I highly recommend her.
I felt very comfortable leaving my fur baby with Alexis. She did a great job communicating and I could tell when I picked up my dog that she loved it at Alexis’s house. We appreciated the fact that Alexis only cares for one family’s pets at a time. That meant that our 8 yr old girl had a nice calm time while we were away.

They can cozy up next to me on my couch! No pets allowed on furniture at home? I’ll enforce that here to maintain consistency:)

I have a two-year-old and nine-year-old at home, and they both are very respectful and cautious with animals after having many in our house! I only ask that if your pet is unfamiliar with the children, we have a meet and greet session to make sure that it will be a good fit
A typical day
I like to learn the habits, mannerisms, and personalities of each pet, and adapt my style of care accordingly. For younger or more energetic animals, I engage fully with play and higher-energy walks. Older or more nervous animals will get a more sensitive and caring approach from me. I’m happy to take a quick potty break outside or a full day at the dog park depending on your pet!
