Im an animal advocate
Pet care experience
I have 3 dogs at home an, 2 Basset Hounds and a beautiful mix breed that I fostered, but recently decided to adopt. I have volunteered at several Humane Society facilities including locations in Denver CO, Seattle WA, Ft. Lauderdale FL, and also here in Myrtle Beach SC. I also work part time at a Dogs Way Inn (a dog daycare/ grooming/ Boarding/ Hotel) In Murells Inlet SC. My job requires walking, feeding, distributing medication, bathing, clipping nails, etc. I'm looking to make a little extra money to continue my mission to rescue and help abandoned animals in our area. Although my profile says I am available at 11 am some days I will not be able to be there until 1230, my shifts at A Dogs Way Inn are from 7 am til noon.

Skills
Information Alexis B. would like to know about your pet
I love all animals big and small. My favorite breed is definitely the Australian Shepherd, only because of how easy they are to train, and how eager they are to learn new things.
A typical day
I do not like to walk more than 1 dog at a time, I don’t like to be distracted. I’d rather have one dog on a leash, that I can give my full attention. I’m a very fun, let the dog lead the way kind of walker, but also I like to see manners . I will have your dog sit before attaching and when taking their leash off. I believe in positive reinforcement, there is no reason to ever raise your hand to an animal.
