Pet care experience
My parents bred mastiffs and golden retrievers so I have grown up with dogs my whole life. My parents have a shih tzu poodle mix, a Maltese, a boxer, and chocolate lab and I have taken care of them when my parents are gone. I potty trained the shih tzu/ poodle mix and taught him to sit. My mom typically fosters dogs and I would help her when I lived at home, so I have a lot of experience caring for and loving all pets!!

Alexis was the perfect sitter for Millie and Copper. We booked her at the last minute and she was very accommodating to us. She sent updates and pictures every day of her playing and snuggling with them. We are really happy we found her. We will definitely be booking her again.

Alexis is my daughter and grew up with dogs her whole life... we used to have a few select breeding pairs of Golden Retrievers and Mastiffs. All of our family spent many days playing with the puppies we raised and helping with their care. Since then, we have been a foster for our local rescue and have babysat tons of dogs for our friends. Alexis is a very reliable girl and has a passion for animals!

My apartment is small, so preferably only small dogs are welcome. I live by myself currently and would love a furry friend to hang out with. I do not have my own yard, but would be able to walk them outside to go to the bathroom. I would love to take them on a run or go play at the dog park.

I do not have any breed preferences. I would like to know some basic rules you have for your pet at home, if he/she sheds, if he/she is potty trained, or used to being around people, and if he/she is aggressive or relaxed around other dogs. I’d also like to know about their personality and their owners, so I can understand what their normal life at home is typically like.
A typical day
My parents puppy loves to play fetch and be chased/ chase me until one of us gets tired. He also loves to relax and cuddle (be petted) while watching a movie or tv. When he visits me in Manhattan, we love going to the dog park or going on trails. I sometimes would take him to Pillsbury, where he could get in the water and play fetch or swim since it’s only 5 inches deep in most places.
