Pet care experience
Hi there, my name is Alexia! I am a full time pet sitter on our farm. I love spending my days caring for pup guests and keeping them thoroughly entertained! I am most knowledgeable and accustom to caring for working, herding, hound and sporting breeds. These breed groups tend to thrive on our farm with the many acres to safely explore together as well as access to a big farm shop for exercise and other activities when the weather does not want to cooperate. I have an abundance of experience with dedicated animal caregiving. I grew up on a farm as well as worked on various other farms. Over the years I have pet sit for various families, whom I am still in contact with several years later, and have volunteered at many animal rescues. Growing up, I learned to care for several high energy dogs of our own, raising them from young puppies to adults. I am knowledgeable in puppy care and training from personal experience and research. I understand that puppies need a lot of consistency, redirection and positive reinforcement. I would be more than helping to further help with any training you are working on with your own pup(s). This includes potty training.

Alexia did a wonderful job with our energetic pups. She communicated with us regularly and sent many photos and videos. Her location allowed for our pups to go for walks and enjoy active days. I recommend Alexia for dog-sitting and will use her again!
We were nervous about leaving our pup with anyone since she has never stayed with anyone before but I was sent pictures and videos daily. Our pup looked so happy in each one we received. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for great care.

Information Alexia H. would like to know about your pet
Please be as detailed as possible when sharing informations with me about your furbabies. Tell me about your dog’s personality, strong likes and dislikes, any fears and triggers they may have, if they struggle with anxiety, their experience with other dogs, with cats and with infants/children. I want to know their regular home routine, including their feeding habits, potty break routine, where they sleep and their favorite activities. I need to know if they have any allergies or if they are on any medication that I may need to administer during their stay. What do you do with them if you need to leave them unsupervised for any reason? What are the commands they are most accustom to? Are there any strict rules or special needs they have? What is your expectation for them and are there any special instructions you have for their care routine?
A typical day
I love to take dogs outside to play and explore. We have plenty of fields and land around the farm for lots of exercise and play time. Fortunately for us, if the weather isn't too cooperative, we also have a big farm shop which allows for safe off-lead playtime and it makes for an even more fun game of fetch off-lead! So, if your dog loves to fetch-I got that covered! If he or she loves to run, I love to go for runs! If they love to go for a walk only, I got that covered too. I also enjoy trick training or agility activities. Puppies will get plenty of attention, potty breaks and playtime as well! If your fur-baby is working on any commands or needs any training, let me know and I will be happy to dedicate time during their stay to work on the training!

As a pet parent myself to two Australian Shepherds and a Labrador Retriever, I understand the feelings and struggles of needing to entrust someone else with your pup’s care when away. With years of experience and a love for all types of dogs, my husband and I provide high-level care and attention to each and every pup that comes to stay with us! Whether your dog is old or young, big or small, an energetic ball of energy or a cuddly companion, we welcome them with lots of love and care! On our farm, here's what you can expect when you choose our home for your dog's stay: * A cozy and clean home environment. * A dedicated and experienced family of animal lovers. * Your pet to be treated like a member of our family and showered with loads of love and attention throughout their stay. * Myself to be home at least 98% of the time. * Regular updates with photos and videos of your pup's stay. * Plenty of daily playtime and exercise tailored to your pets needs, whether outside or in our safely enclosed farm shop. * Personalized care based on your dog's unique needs with every effort to keep your pet on their regular home schedule.
