Pet care experience
I love the companionship dogs provide. Dogs are truly human’s best friends — they are always a joy to be around! No matter how down I'm feeling, playing with a dog friend always lifts my spirits. While I don't have any pets of my own right now, I have owned three dogs in my life. I started caring for dogs as a child, having gotten my first puppy at the age of five. I have also served in a volunteer capacity for the humane society in North Carolina, working as a dog walker and washer. In my experience as a volunteer, I learned how to work with dogs of all breeds, ages and personalities. In addition to dogs, I have experiences with many animals including, cats, rodents, reptiles, and birds. I love all their different personalities! Most cats are independent and like to do their own thing, versus a dog or bird which loves companionship and interaction. I would love to care for other kinds of pets as well. I love that dog sitting gives me the chance to play and interact with so many different pups! I love dogs so much and while I don't have one of my own, dog sitting gives me the opportunity for me to be a pet parent for a few days. Dogs provide companionship and friendship in so many ways.

Alexia is a friendly and caring person by nature and this carries over to her interaction with animals. She has baby sat my pet cat Yonce a plenty of times for the past two years , and has in fact created a very strong bond- (something I was very shocked to see , because Yonce does not take to everyone). If you are looking for someone who will both complete the duties as a caregiver, and give that little special attention to your friendly companion , She is definitely the right candidate. From suggesting healthier food options , to suggesting a better vet, she has definitely been an asset to me. I unfortunately have since moved out of state and have had to find other means for pet care. Finding someone as attentive and passionate for Yonce has become difficult , especially in comparison to the stellar job performed by Alexia.

I like to have a meet and greet before your pup stays with me, where I can start to bond with your dog by carefully approaching, petting and playing with them. This usually seals the deal for a lasting relationship! While personally I love all types of breeds, the only restrictions I have are the restrictions my apartment has in place, which forbids bully breeds.
A typical day
We’ll do all of your dog’s favorite activities as indicated by their parent's itinerary. We’ll visit the dog park, play with their favorite toys, cuddle, go for long walks around my vibrant neighborhood, and of course eat her favorite treats! My daily schedule consists of work from 8pm to 4pm, but I have the flexibility to leave work as often as needed. Considering how close my work is to home, I will be able to frequent my apartment to provide your dog with numerous walks and bathroom breaks during her day. I stay in contact contact with my clients, sending frequent updates on what we are up to, especially during walks and playtime. I also have an open call policy so owners can reach out to me at any time! I put your dog’s needs first. I’m a total outdoors person — I love hiking and walking trails. I go on walks daily to re-energize, so active dogs will love staying with me.
