Pet care experience
I've grown up with dogs all of my life- large, small, purebred, mixed. Dogs, like people, need someone affectionate, playful, and responsible. Our little companions share different personalities and I am willing to get to know yours. I myself have a Jack Russell terroir beagle named Jax. Jax is a rescue with an assumed abusive past. With his breed and history he has a lot of “special” corks. He has taught me how to best care for our friends with separation anxiety issues. I have plenty of experience with larger dogs. For a few summers I looked after two Akita’s who needed to be distanced from other animals at all times due to their temperament. I also occasionally look after a sweetheart of a lab.

What are your dog's triggers? For instance, my terrier mix friend will attempt to go after any mailman/FedEx/UPS driver. Is your dog animal and people friendly? If I am walking your dog and the neighbor kid asks to pet your dog, would they be okay with that? Does your fur friend have trust issues and if so how can I make them feel most comfortable? What's their favorite treat/toy? Are they on a medicine or have a physical issue? What commands do they know? Are they allowed on furniture? Do they enjoy car rides? How do they react to thunder storms/loud noises?
A typical day
If there is a park near your location, I would love to take your dog for a walk/run along the trails. Does your dog have an obsession with their favorite ball/frisbee? If so, I do too and can play catch and tug of war until the sun goes down.

Availability
Although I’m a teacher with the summer off, I also have a young child. Twice a week she is enrolled in summer school events so those are my available days as well as weekends.
