Pet care experience
I really enjoy being around any and all animals. I am patient and enjoy training my 3 year old Pomeranian and 1½ year old Yorkie mix. I have been personally studying dog training, behaviors, and recenly, nutrition. I worked with dogs in a daycare, as a bather, and have received training in grooming. I also own my own grooming supplies for dogs. I personally attended obedience classes with my own two dogs at Dayton Dog Training Club. I want to further my knowledge on them as much as possible. I am by no means a professional on any of the topics above though. I'm always learning something new. The services I offer are dog walking and drop-ins. I will be sure that the amount of exercise is appropriate for the breed/size of your dog. For drop-ins, I will stay longer than to just feed your pet(s). I will be sure to socialize, pet, and play with them as well!

Apart from doing elaborate research on the specific breed she works with, Alexia often takes initiative to keep dogs active, healthy, and happy. This is just Alexia's natural drive to improve the quality of life for dogs and the companion relationship between an owner and their best friend.

I live in an apartment, so I take my 2 dogs out on small 5-10 minute potty walks, 3 times a day. We go on a longer walk around noon, so 4 times outside in total. We also play with toys inside multiple times per day, and we play the "find it" game 2 times a day for mental stimulation.

Before caring for your pet, I would just need to know about any special diets, if your dog is dog/people-aggressive or reactive, current medications, and any other information you think I should know about. Or just random things you want to tell me about your furry friend!
A typical day
I will be sure to walk your pup(s) when scheduled, and make it interesting for them. I am also okay with doing more walks for bigger/high energy breeds. If requested or talked about, I will also work with your dog on any leash manners you're concerned with. I use positive reinforcement, natural training treats (allergies can be discussed).

Availability
I'm currently working part-time Monday through Friday, 4:45pm - 8:00pm, so I will have plenty of time for morning walks and drop-ins. I can also do later drop-ins after work. :)
