Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Alexandria, but I go by Ally for short. :) I grew up in a household that constantly had pets. We had two cats at any given time and at one point we even owned a parakeet! I walked neighborhood dogs in middle school and high school to earn spending money for myself. I have pet sat for numerous friends and family members and I currently have a golden retriever and tuxedo cat who rule my world! In terms of what to expect for each of my services, here is a quick breakdown. Dog Walking: For a 30 minute session I can typically walk about .5-1.5 miles, depending on the dog, with smaller breeds walking shorter distances than larger breeds. For an hour walk, I can typically walk over 2 miles consistently. At the end of every walk I make sure your pet’s water bowl is full before I leave. If I use the last poop bag during the walk, I will replace the roll if I know where the spares are in your place, or inform you that they are out so you don’t have any surprises the next time you take them out. Drop-in Visit: These visits are whatever you want them to be. Need me to let your pet out for a potty break? You got it! Need me to feed your pet because you’ll be gone during their breakfast or dinner time? No problem! Need me to just hang out with your pet for a social visit? I can do that! Just let me know what you need for your drop-in visit and I have you covered. Housesitting: Like my drop-in visits, housesitting can be customized for your pet. I will ensure your pet’s needs are taken care of, whether that’s providing walks, potty breaks throughout the day, lots of cuddles, etc. Please note that if you book my services during weekdays, I do have client walks throughout the day, so your pet must be okay with being left for up to 4 hours.
Reviews
Aly was wonderful with our two pups - she was clear & considerate about making sure she understood their needs and would be a good fit. She clearly understands dogs well and made fast friends with our shy one. She also left our place super neat and sent us plenty of updates. We will definitely contact her again!
Alexandria has been a godsend for us whenever we travel. She does a great job with our dogs who can be little stinkers at times and we highly recommend her!
We are so grateful to have found Ally. She is wonderful with our pup and gives him allll the attention our dog thinks he deserves (which is a lot). Great communication — we’ve rebooked and will continue to do so!
Ally was wonderful with my shy, anxious cat. By day 2 they were already getting along great (far exceeding my expectations) and it’s clear Ally was able to help my cat feel comfortable very quickly. She’s very responsive, and provided multiple updates daily so I felt assured that Qilin was doing well and receiving great care. Highly recommend Ally for you pet sitting and petcare needs!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety, trust & environment: Safety is my top priority with any pet. If there are any health issues, I am always mindful to ask up front. If I enter another person’s home, I respect the space and ensure the pets have been taken care of before I leave/are secure. When walking dogs, I will ask what sort of behaviors the dog might exhibit (i.e. leash aggression, general excitement, excessive pulling) so I have a clear understanding of what to expect.
Information Alexandria S. would like to know about your pet
I will ask what sort of behaviors the dog might exhibit (i.e. leash aggression, general excitement, excessive pulling) so I have a clear understanding of what to expect. If the dog requires medication before or after my visit, I would need to know specific instructions on how to administer the meds. If the dog needs to be fed before or after, I would need to know that information beforehand.
A typical day
Depends on the dog! If the dog is into walking, I can plan out a route that will suite the dog best. If the dog would prefer fetch in the backyard, I am happy to sit and throw their favorite ball or frisbee. I like taking my dog to local parks to enjoy the trails, or swimming if it’s a hot day.

Schedule Info: I can walk dogs throughout most the day, with temperature playing a factor during the summer and winter. If it is too hot for a dog to walk on concrete, I will walk them early in the morning before the heat sets in. If it has recently snowed, I will decline to walk the pet due to safety concerns.
