About Me: - My name is Alexandria - Born and raised in Key West, FL - Bahamian American - 26 years old - Moved to Fort Lauderdale for school in 2015. - Recieved my AA at Broward College - Recieved my bachelors from NSU and currently working on my doctoral degree - I have a 7yr old Schnauzer/Terrier mix and a 4yr old Morkie. - Retired track athlete - Hobbies: Painting, drawing, beach, shopping, hanging out with my dogs/bearded dragon, eating out, and working out. - I have been a Wag/Rover Walker/sitter for a combination of 7 years. Pet Care: - I believe it is important to create a bond between the parent (I don’t like the word “owner”, they’re family!) and their fur baby. - I love to create cute videos and take pictures so the parents can see how much fun their fur baby has had. - Professional grooming is not my forté, HOWEVER, I am a good brusher lol. - I am comfortable with ALL breeds. - it’s my duty to make sure your fur baby can trust me! - I have knowledge of feeding, providing water, and medications. - On walks I will tend to find grassy areas (unless your dog is allergic to grass) because Florida is super hot and we don’t want the pads of their cute paws to get sores from the hot tar! - Play time, belly rub time, walk time, fetch time are the BEST times of the day. (I think I get more excited than the fur babies lol) - I want the parents to ask me any questions they have for me. - Please inform me on any illnesses, diarrhea, vomiting, fur babies that don’t really eat much, barkers, anxious fur babies, and anything else you think I should know! Boardings: - I DO let the fur babies on my furniture! - I would love for the parents to be honest about potty training or accidents due to anxiety. - Sometimes I’ll bake homemade dog treats (if approved by the parent!) - I have DogTV on Xfinity so when I have to run an errand I leave that on! - Depending on the size and the parents approval I do take most of the fur babies on my errands! - Dog beach is my favorite spot (if approved by parents). - There is a dog park behind my apartment unit and I take them their after our walk for play time (if approved by parent) - Furniture chewers let me know! Lol - During most boardings I will let my friend take my dog to her place if the parent isn’t comfortable with my dog being there (I PROMISE IT’S NOT A PROBLEM)! FRIENDS: - I do have one friend that is to my residence all the time we adopted Max together. - Her name is Dejannae (pronounced DEE-JAH-NAY) she is 28 years old and she’s AMAZING! She attends FIU and work for a construction company and has her license in Insurance! - Dejannae loves on my clients fur babies like they’re her own! CONCLUSION: I am so excited to meet all of you!
