Hi! My name is Alexa and I am a paramedic student. Currently serving in AmeriCorps at American Youthworks in a construction program as a Crew Leader. I am deaf, I wear hearing aids and can speak English very well. I am fluent in American Sign Language and an expert at ensuring communication in any possible way. I can be very creative and active as well as laid back at times. I love to travel and especially camping out in the wonders of nature. I have touched 31 states so far and planning to touch 19 more! I have an amazing border collie named Lucy, just turned three in may and she is being trained to become a medical and rescue service dog. To elaborate, I am studying to become a first responder in field of disaster relief and rescue. I also plan on going back to nursing school afterwards to eventually work in surgery or ER.

A typical day
have been around dogs my entire life and there is nothing more I would like than to spend quality time with dogs or any other friendly pets! I decided to become a pet sitter because I love to be around pets and need to support myself through college. In my pet care, I provide full attention to make sure all needs are fulfilled. I can either play or cuddle. Your pet can be taken out for unlimited walks or a trip to someplace fun like a dog park or anything nature related. Lucy will love to make new friends and just play or hang out! She is super friendly and lovable. Any preferences of activities are welcomed! Since I am very empathetic, I can bond with pets well and ensure their happiness. I can also discipline well if needed since I am training my very own to be a service dog, so I know how important it is!
