I just love puppers and doggos!

Pet care experience

I am a 25 year old girl, recently moved to Frederick and have a loving and extremely playful boxer puppy who is 4 months old. I grew up with a slew of animals and have been house sitting/dog sitting since I was 10. I feel very in-tune with animals and understand their needs/wants very well. I also understand how stressful it is to leave your beloved pets when going on vacation or even just leaving them when you're at work is painful :( I truly care about the health/happiness/safety of all animals. I live in a town home with a small front yard and right across the street is a field and playground. The neighborhood is very safe, quiet, and practically car free so It's a great place to raise a puppy and take care of other's dogs'. Currently I work the late evening shift at a restaurant so I am more than available to take the best care of your pups :)

Alex has been my go-to dog sitter whenever I'm out of town which is always a hassle because my 60lb Ava is a "primitive" breed, meaning she's extremely wary of strangers and some aggressive tendencies and won't let ANYONE take her for a walk. Alex, however, is nothing short of a dog whisperer and took extra time to warm up to my Ava and gave her treats and let her warm up to her on her own time. Alex is the only person I trust with my dogs and so happy I found her!!

Alex watched my 14 year old bulldog Hellen while I worked during the day. Hellen required constant care and attention, needing to be hand fed and given diabetes shots every couple hours. Alex was the sweetest, most nurturing dog sitter I've ever had. She treated Hellen like her own and was just as devastated as I was when Hellen passed a year ago. I highly recommend Alex to dog sit, she is a true dog whisperer.

Alex is a phenomenal pet sitter. She is an animal whisperer I tell you! The first time she watched my dog and cat while I was away,I came home to totally different animals! My little opie was so vocal when I left and when I came back he was like a brand new cat only meows when he's hungry and she even taught him to sit! Talulah my puppy also sits and shakes because of Alex! She was a rescue and was very timid at first but not with Alex! She had her playing and learning in no time! needless to say the only time I feel comfortable going out of town is when Alex is around to watch my little fur babies! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and competent pet sitter.

I would 100% recommend Alex as a pet sitter. She grew up with lots of pets of her own, and they all gravitated towards her more than anyone else in her family. She is extremely caring, especially towards animals. She watched my dog and cat while I was on a two weeks trip, and when I returned home I could tell my animals were well taken care of and had already bonded with Alex.

Information Alexandra P. would like to know about your pet

No breed preference. Unfortunately my house has four flights of stairs so I don't think it's wise for me to dogsit any elderly dogs or dogs with arthritis, hip problems etc. If your dog has to wear a muzzle I won't take them on. And if your dog is not good with kids PLEASE let me know.

A typical day

It really depends on the individual dog but most dogs love exploring my neighborhood. The sidewalks wind with patches of grass to sniff and then beyond the last row of houses there is a grassy ravine and huge empty grass field. Immediately across from my house is a small jungle gym and more grass field - we play fetch, tug of war, chase each other. If kids are out playing and I know the dog is good with kids both dog and kids enjoy playing with each other.
