Pet care experience
Respect and compassion for animals and people guide my work. I value the sanctity of your home and strive to accommodate your needs, to leave all as I found it, and to communicate clearly & frequently. Experienced with dogs and cats of all ages and social development, in single and multi-pet households, I have an especially tender heart for senior animals. I offer lots of attention and the comfort of their existing routines. Two walks or a big hike per day are included, along with play and cuddles. Having had pets for most of my life, I deeply love all animal souls. I have a lot of first hand experience caring for terminally ill animals, up to the last breath. This know-how and resilience allow me to support you and your pet at any juncture of pet illness, including when it's time to let them go. Alexandra took care of my two GSDs, one with special needs and meds. She did a terrific job and the boys are so happy with her. She stayed at the house and left it in perfect condition. Alexandra’s communication was superior and she sent photos of the boys each day. I trust her with my treasured dogs and will hope she can continue to sit in the future. She is a welcome part of our pack!

A typical day
Normally, we go on the neighborhood walks the animals are most familiar with, to establish our bond. We also frequent Santa Fe's dog parks, with a frisbee, Chuck-it, or other favorite toy. For highest energy AND well trained dogs, we will hit Santa Fe's beautiful mountain trails at the time of day with the safest temperature for furry ones.

I am dedicated to house sitting and pet care full time. I build my schedule completely around my client bookings and, generally, can be flexible if plans change.
