Pet care experience
Hi there! I am currently an online graduate student studying environmental science. I care deeply about this earth and all it's creatures! Growing up my family had a wide variety of pets: cats, dogs, guinea pigs, snakes, fish...we had it all! My love for animals landed me a position at the National Aviary's Veterinary Hospital, for a year-long internship. There I learned even more about proper pet care, animal wellness, and most importantly, how to know when something is wrong. I have a variety of sitting and walking experience. From the time I was in 6th grade until moving away for college, I was our neighbors go-to sitter for their three cats and LARGE German Shepard, sitting for up to two weeks at a time. I have experience with geriatric dogs who require medicine, and puppies who require constant attention. We currently have a 50lb Dalmatian mix who has been best friend with all the dogs who stay with us - large and small! Our yard is 6ft fenced.

Alexandra and her dog, Savannah, were so welcoming to my little Frankie Poodle. The dogs played in the backyard, enjoyed each other‘s company in the living room. Alexandra and her husband have had dogs all their lives and they were confident that Frankie would have a good time. Frank and doggie Savannah greeted me at the window when I came to pick him up the next day and they looked so happy. Frank told me all about the good time he had with Alexandra and her family. We hope to come back again
Alexandra was wonderful! Our dog Sadie loved staying with her, and she was very understanding of a last-minute change to our travel plan!
Alexandra took great care of our pup while we were on vacation! It was our first time leaving him, and she provided updates and pics so we never felt worried. Gunner and Savannah got along great - we were so happy that he had a playmate and a fenced yard for the week! Highly recommend!

We have a 6ft fenced yard with plenty of room for large dogs to run. There are stairs leaving to our house, but we are happy to lift dogs who need help. Our dog is friendly and shares well with other dogs.

Any allergies and pertinent medical history. I can handle them all but want to be prepared! If your dog needs to be fed separately and have separate water, we can make that happen.
A typical day
I love being outside and going on walks (runs and hikes if you want your pup to have more exercise!). We are happy to go to the dog park if that is something you feel confident your pup can handle.

Availability
My husband and I tag-team dog sitting. I work full-time at a grocery store but have hours that shift week to week. My husband is a freelance filmmaker and works from home, but occasionally has film shoots for an hour or two here and there. Overall, we are very flexible and can make most potty schedules work!
