Pet Care Enthusiast

Pet care experience

I have always had a dog or some sort of animal around my home since I was a kid but know how difficult it can be to sometimes balance having adult responsibilities and take care of your pets, so I’m here to offer a way that you can have your life AND know your pet is always loved and cared for even when you’re away. I myself have a dog reactive dog and semi-stranger reactive dog so I am comfortable working with reactive dogs! My cat is now in remission but was diabetic so I am comfortable and knowledgeable in caring for diabetic pets. My history with caring for animals has been taking care of my own through a variety of things, and when staying with friends I have assisted them with their 13+ dogs along with other animals. I have worked in the veterinary field for a year at a large specialty GP/ER clinic so am familiar with health care for pets. I am very attentive to animals and am careful to notice anything out of the ordinary so you know your animal is in safe hands. In addition to my own dog and cat, I've also owned & cared for horses for 10+ years and have 4 snakes as well as arachnids if you find yourself needing care for more unique pets!

Alexandra was great! She took great care of Dash while I was out of town for a few days. Quick responses when I checked in, and she also gave updates/pictures through the day. Very satisfied with the service. Will use again in the future

Alex was great with Stella! Will definitely call again next time we need a sitter.

Alex is one of those people who just intuitively "gets" all kinds of animals. She is responsible, warm and smart with a work ethic you don't see much anymore. I have an old dog with disabilities that needs special care and I trust her completely. If you're picking a doggie caregiver, I'd HIGHLY recommend her!

I understand during drop in visits and walks you want to make sure your pets are getting maximized attention and energy requirements fulfilled and I am hear to do that for you!

Information Alexandra D. would like to know about your pet

Before I get to know and love your dog, I would like to know if he/she has any medications, a little bit about their history and how long they can be left alone if required. I’d also like to know if your pup gets along well with other dogs or is good with sharing his/her walk with some other doggy pals. If you would like your dog to go on walks I would like to know of any triggers or quirks I should be aware of.

A typical day

When caring for your pet, I’d be willing to cater to whatever its needs are; 5 hour hikes for a high energy dog? I can manage that. A sweet, retired one who just needs love and occassional medications? No problem, I am comfortable administering oral and injectable medications. I have a seat cover in my car (for my own furry friend) so I am able to take your dogs out to trails or transport them no issue!
