Pet care experience
I've been working in the animal care industry since 2010. Both professionally and personally I have worked with dogs from all sorts of groups. When I began dog sitting by referral only clients on and off back in 2010 to 2014 I also began working in dog day care facilities. I have worked in lead positions at dog day cares which has helped me develop knowledge of dog behavior and temperaments between "the pack." I am comfortable with dogs of every size and have had multiple pets of all sorts of my own. I have worked in shelter environments such as the Peninsula Humane Society and also the San Jose Animal Care Center and have also worked at Pet Food Express. I plan on pursuing degree in animal science with a focus in nutrition. With my experience with Rover, I learn something new every day - my schooling and career begin with your pets! I make sure to reply promptly, with as much detail as possible. During a stay I am alert to all texts and alerts sent to me: You shouldn't be waiting for a response! What previous clients have noted about me is that I'm very transparent - You are more than welcome to ask me any appropriate question! My schooling is currently mostly online but please contact me for availability.
Reviews
Alexandra is amazing! She takes such great care of our pup on walks and always lets us know if our dog went potty and always fills up the water dish. I always get photos during the walks too. I'll keep using her for as long as possible.
I am disappointed in Alex's professionalism. She has not returned my texts or emails. Her Rover profile is set to away, meaning she isn't working currently. It would have been appreciated if she let me know instead of me logging on to Rover to find out.
My pets are happy, which makes me happy!
I highly recommend Alexandra, because my pets are happy, so I am happy.

Information Alexandra C. would like to know about your pet
When it comes to booking a stay or visit with me there are some questions you can cover to help me understand how your pet communicates! First: Are there any health issues I should know about? Tell me about how your pet is with meeting new people! Do they bark from uncertainty, excitement, attention? Do they jump when they meet people and are you okay with it? When it comes to house-sitting are there any other critters or small pets I should know about? If you're comfortable - tell me about their behavior on leash! What are they like when there is nothing on the streets versus if a dog or a child where to run by? There's no wrong answer, I just like being prepared!
A typical day
For House-Sitting bookings (with permission) I would take your pet/s on a hike! No matter the weather, an up hill man-made hike is always a stress reliever for the pet's environmental enrichment. If that isn't the preferred option, I would take your pet to a park or suburban park-trail to walk down and explore during an energizing walk. If your pet is in good shape to run - by request I can jog your pets as well! Play-time is essential during house-sitting: leave some of their favorite toys around and I could spend hours playing with your pets! For reoccurring dog-walking stays I provide fast paced low-pulling walks in your designated neighborhood (with the given 30 minute booking!). I try my best to provide a hearty walk in the safest areas of the neighborhood.
