Veterinarian assistant here to help

Pet care experience

I have been around animal my whole life. this includes dogs, cats, birds and small reptiles. My love for animals is the reason why I am pursuing my degree in veterinary assistance. I just love being around animals. I do have a full-time job at a bar working as a floor/security lead. which means during the day I am always available. I am also always off Mondays and Tuesdays. if need be, and I am giving a early enough notice I can change my schedule to make room for watching the fur babies I have a fenced in back yard, that is great for the pups to run around and play. I also have two dog crates (one for smaller dogs and another for bigger dogs), if you fur baby requires to be in a crate. I do have one cat in the house that is super friendly with any animal. if you animal does not get along with cats, we do have a guest room set up for the cat In the rare event that the animals do not get along.

Lexie is the best doggie sitter. My dogs love her and get along with her fur baby too. Which I am glad. That means she can have her cat out to interact and play with my two dogs. She loves my pups and pampers them. I tell pet owner friends in Alamance County how wonderful she is too. Whenever I am away from home overnight, she is the only sitter I use. She is that special to me as a pet owner and that wonderful with my mini dachshunds. Juanita Rose

It was a pleasure working with Alexandra. She was very flexible, and very understanding. Gray is looking forward to seeing her again.

Going into this I was nervous because I didn’t have a chance to meet Alexandra before I left. We texted and she was very responsive so I set it up, but you know how it is when you haven’t met them yet. Anyway I went out of town and Alexandra came over and took care of my cat Boo!

Lexie was wonderful with both my babies for a doggie daycare visit. One became scared during a storm. She comforted him by wrapping him in a blanket and sitting with him on her couch. He calmed down and went to sleep. Both of my dogs loved being in her house and enjoyed special toys and treats I agreed was ok for them. They will be having s sleep over with Lexie Monday night. I expect everything will go just fine.

Any medical problems that your pet may be suffering from or receiving medication for, as well as any dietary restrictions/allergies that they may have. I like to make some fresh pumpkin and peanut treats for the dogs that I watch so if that is something you are opposed to, please let me know and i will be sure to contact you on anything they can/can't have. I would also like to know how energetic your pet is and if they love long walks.

A typical day

When I have my dog at my house we love to play outside, there will always be at least 5 tennis balls in my house. We also love to go on long walks around my neighborhood and hiking on the Occoneechee trail in Hillsborough.
