Pet care experience
I’ve had two dogs of my own throughout my life, a moody Scottish terrier, and a big old hound mix. I’ve watched many dogs, cats, fish, and Guinean pigs while friends are away traveling, and have worked off and on as a dog walker for small companies in the US and while living abroad in Spain.

One of my closest friends and someone that I truly trust. It's not a dog but I'm a cat owner and I've trusted him to watch over her countless times at my apartment. He even went as far as to go out in a snow storm just to get her some wet food which wasn't even necessary because she had dry food. Amazing human being with a huge heart and extremely responsible. Alex has watched my dogs Kaiya and Moo for at least a month total in the last ten years. When they see each other, it's like they had just journeyed over the Himalayas to find each and they all make loud high pitch noises.

I’m unable to host animals at my home, but I’d love to take them to any parks or great spots for walking near where you and the pup live.

If the dog has any issues with other dogs, I’d like to know in advance. This won’t keep me from wanting to help out and care for them, but it will allow me some awareness on what to expect during walks.
A typical day
I’m very active and happy to walk with your dogs in any weather. I’m always game for some frisbee or fetch, and happy to take any dog for a run if they like to jog.

Availability
I’m a freelance writer and do building work and odd jobs on the side. Rarely am I booked on a job for more than 8 hours, though I do head out of town for gigs which last a few days. I mostly work from home, or from within the Providence area at cafes or other work spaces. My schedule is very flexible. I’m happy to accommodate whatever requests I am able to, even those on relatively short notice.
