First I want to start by saying we reached out to Alex because he had great reviews and in person was nice and cordial. Although there were few blurry pictures received during the stay, he did keep us up to date on incidents or updates on our dogs. Upon returning home we had given notice the night before that our flight would be getting in earlier than expected (by an hour). When you come home from vacation, the last thing you expect is your house to be a complete mess, reeking of the maraj*ana that is all over the countertops, food splattered everywhere, and the backyard destroyed. As a professional The rule of thumb should always be ..maybe don’t bring dr*gs into someone else’s home. He had said one of our dogs dug in the dirt but he had cleaned it up. (We had asked him to supervise our puppy while outside since it’s a new house). Clearly, that didn’t happen. As a frequent rover sitter myself, I expected the house to be at minimum of how we left it. For the next day we had to clean up after Alex (we have picture proof) and we’re truly disappointed in the level of care our home received. But hey, at least our dogs are alive. My husband reached out to Alex personally about the matter and level of care of the home and he never responded. Please be aware of his professionalism when booking this sitter.
