Pet care experience
Hello! At our house your pet will receive attentive 1-on-1 care from a pet experienced individual who works from home. I only take in one dog at a time (two if they are bonded) so you can rest assured that your pet gets all the time and attention they require. We are NOT a pet-sitting farm, which are an unfortunate reality. Your pet will be treated like a member of this family for the entirety of its stay. You are welcome to come by to meet me, see our home and introduce your beloved pet to this environment. Growing up, my family had many pets, multiple dogs (Border Collie, Jack Russell Terrier, Leonberger, Labradors), two cats (domestic long hairs and tabby’s) and since 2019 I have been dogsitting many small and medium sized canines in a wide variety of breed and temperament. I have had the fortune to live for three years with a veterinarian whom taught me a lot about animal care - as such I have a lot of hands-on practical experience with dogs & cats. I have comfortably handled animals of all sizes and fully believe in positive reinforcement for all creatures. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks to the beach, Pacific Spirit Park, or even mountain hikes if they are comfortable with longer walks. I hope to chat to you soon! I could not have asked for a better experience for our dog, Jasper. Alexander and his partner did a marvelous job of making sure that Jasper felt welcome, got plenty of exercise and was well-cared for. Alexander stayed in touch regularly, responded promptly to emails/texts and sent us lots of photos. From the very first night, Alexander took Jasper on a couple of walks. Jasper was so happy and relaxed, he looked positively giddy! Some of my other favorites were of Jasper snuggling with Alexander and his partner on the couch; placing his paw on Alexander's foot; and looking up at Alexander. We would not hesitate to have Alexander look after Jasper for us again.
Ollie had a great time with Alex! He sent frequent updates with pictures and tired him out with several walks. Quick responses and flexible. Would highly recommend!
This is the second time Alexander has watched out very anxious mini poodle Tucker, and it was a great experience. A nice long walk and a little snack and our girl was calm and exhausted. Thanks again Alexander!

A typical day
Long (hour++) wilderness and urban walks are a favourite of mine. With the company of dogs it’s made much more enjoyable. As an active person myself I feel dogs really appreciate the longer walks and it helps them sleep off those first few nights in a new location.
