Pet care experience
I love dogs! My aunt owns her own dog walking business in Chicago, and before I moved here over six years ago, I assisted her with walking dogs and the business. I moved to the NOVA area in early 2015, and since then, I have been dogsitting regularly for both Rover and my boss. His dog Conan and I are best friends! We watch TV together, go on walks, play with toys, and enjoy each other's company. I live in a big house in South Arlington with three other roommates, where we all enjoy having dogs around. The house is big enough for a few dogs; we have a huge main level with a large living room, an enormous kitchen where I can prepare their meals, a spacious backyard, and more. I am also available for house sitting (this is what I do for Conan occasionally), but enjoy boarding most. Alexander was great! Another sitter cancelled on me last minute, and Alexander agreed to care for my dog Ozzy for a whole week, over a holiday no less, on really short notice! He was really communicative and I immediately felt comfortable leaving Ozzy with him. Definitely will rebook!

At my house, there is almost no space where dogs would not be allowed; the top level of the house only contains other bedrooms, but the large basement, main level, and backyard is plenty of space to hang out in. I can follow any particular procedures you may have for them, including meals, crating, and exercise routines.

My preference for breeds is for dogs without very excessive dander/shedding. I know this is not entirely possible to avoid, but it the stay is more than a few days, any grooming you can do ahead of time is much appreciated. Again, this is not a deal breaker by any means, but a preference. Any peculiarities about your pups (especially diet or behavior related) will be important to know.
A typical day
The neighborhood I live in is full of nature, parks, trails, and friendly people. Getting outside and having safe adventures with your puppers is something I love to do, as well as give plenty of belly scratches, treats, and TLC.

Availability
I am typically available most days and holidays, as I am working remotely full-time. I am able to take regular breaks to give your pets all the TLC they need, including multiple walks per day, meals, and affection.
