Hi! I'm Alexa, your friendly neighborhood purple-haired mermaid. I joined Rover because I'm a lifelong dog lover trying to combat the physical effects of my fulltime desk job by getting outside and being active with your pets. While I don't have much formal or occupational experience with caring for animals, I can say I participated to varying degrees in the raising, care, feeding, and general keeping alive of a beloved family dog for 14 years (and counting!). He is now elderly, mostly blind, deaf, and in need of regular medication, so I have experience administering medication orally as well as to eyes and ears, and with elderly dogs and dogs who need special care. Though my dog is small, I have housesat, fed, and walked large dogs before as well.

This was my first time Alexa came to care for the dogs. I would highly recommend Alexa to anyone who wants someone kind, trustworthy, and who truly loves your pets as their own. I was blessed to have found Alexa. She watches dogs in a variety of settings and pays keen attention to canine behaviors. Her favorite thing is seeing dogs engage and interact with each other for the first time. My neighbor upon my recommendation has engaged Alexa to watch her dogs. For nine days when I was on vacation I had peace of mind and contentment. You can't buy that security.
Alexa is punctual, detail-oriented, and most importantly she truly cares about dogs. I have seen firsthand how caring and patient she is, especially with older pets. I would be thrilled to have her checking in with my dog when I was unable to.
Alexa is always the first person I call when I need help with my pets. She has a natural connection with animals. Even my cats like her! I also appreciate that I can count on her for more than the essentials. She doesn't just take good care of my four-legged family, but also my home and my schedule. 10/10, would recommend!
Alexa is an awesome, bright and friendly individual who has a love for animals that is hard to match. She's very trustworthy and an extremely dedicated hard worker. She is one of the most responsible people I've ever met and certainly an ideal candidate to being a caretaker for anyone's precious little fur babies.
