Pet care experience
Hey there! I'm Alexa. I regularly board dogs and cats in my home. I grew up with two cats and a dog and have been boarding regularly for three years, with several years of intermittent pet sitting prior. I work from home so I will be around your fur babies a lot! I do not require meet & greets before boarding, but if you'd like to have one we can all meet in my neighborhood to ensure it's a good fit. I ask that you share any quirks or special considerations with your pet, so their stay can be as successful as possible for both of us! Please send along anything your dog or cat may need. I do not have pet supplies here. This includes: poop bags, food & water bowls, food, treats, beds/blankets if used, and peanut butter if you use toys like kongs. If your dog is unpredictable when left alone, please bring a crate as well. I am happy to share a daily update of your pet.
Reviews
Alexa was so wonderful! She took such good care of our dog and was so good with her. She was very communicative throughout our dog’s stay and was a pleasure to work with. We would hire her again in a heartbeat!
The girls always come back happy!
Alexa did a great job taking care of our dog. He was happy and well kept when we picked him up. Thank you Alexa!
Alexa takes such great care of Essie!

I am warm and nurturing. i love giving dogs and cats all the pats or belly rubs or playing with a favorite toy! Let me know if you want me to brush their coat while we're together. I've given oral medications to both dogs and cats, so let me know if that's needed for your pet.

Information Alexa F. would like to know about your pet
I do not have breed preferences but definitely want to know unique parts about any dog’s personality so I can best care for them. Let me know if we should stay away from other dogs on walks, if they bark a lot, get into things they shouldn't in the home, etc. CRATES: Please bring a crate if your dog is not able to be trusted when left alone (rips pillows, pees, gets into trash, etc), or if they require constant attention. This will be helpful during my work day when I need to be on client calls and can't give your pet attention during that time. WALKING: I looove taking dogs on walks! However, if they are a large breed (particularly because of strength) and not trained on the leash, this may not be a good fit. I am strong (I like to think) but not a match for a large dog that pulls constantly on a walk. It affects my ability to be in charge and is potentially a safety concern. If your dog is unpredictable and may bite me, it will not be a good fit.
A typical day
I can take your dog on walks (my favorite), give belly rubs, brush fur, give treats, and play with their favorite toys. Let me know if your dog is more or less active.

Availability
As mentioned, I work from home so I'm able to do mid-day walks and spend lots of quality time with your dog or cat during the day. *WALKS/DROP-IN VISITS*: I now have more availability for cat drop in visits or dog drop ins/walks. Send me a request! :)
