Pet care experience
I have grown up all my life around dogs, and I have always loved them for their unceasing love and energy. My family has had a German Shepherd and Corgi, both of whom lived into their teens. I have loved and cared for dogs of many breeds, shapes, and sizes for years; I'm the kind of person who greets the dogs at the party before the humans. As a professor, I have a shifting schedule, and would love to fill my free time with dogs! I am more than happy to run around in a park with an active dog or relax inside with a furry couch potato. I have a lot of patience for older or slower dogs, as well as the antics of puppies. I will love any dog like it's my own!

We give Alexa 5 paws, well 3 paws from our three doggies and 2 from Jill and I. We have two pups and one seventeen year old who Alexa cared for several days and nights over the Christmas holiday. At our meet and greet, all three of our doggies took to her immediately as she has a very calming and loving presence. Alexa did a wonderful job attending to our doggies' specific, individual needs and coping with their very different personalities. She was also extremely patient and accommodating with all our instructions and numerous phone calls to her while we were away (we were very anxious parents!). Alexa is a true gem - trustworthy, loving, and someone you can not help but place your confidence in with caring for your furry family.
Alexa is an amazing, responsible caretaker! She has watched my dog and other dogs with only care and compassion. I can always count on her.

Before sitting a dog, I'd like to know the dog's temperament, interaction with other people and dogs, and activity level. I'd additionally want to know any tips regarding the dog's behavior, diet, or other concerns I should be aware of. For both mine and the dog's enjoyment and safety, the more I know, the better I can tailor our experience together!
A typical day
On a stay with me, I would love to take dogs for a nice long walk, or to the park down the street. Both my street and the park have plenty of flowers and grasses to sniff and paths to run through. For a more low-energy dog, I also love to snuggle up on the couch with a movie and give a ton of love and attention to your pet!
